Positive: Rural location, views, spaciousness, cleanliness, well equipped, privacy and the absolutely amazing host who gave us a very friendly welcome, provided a very comprehensive welcome pack, two puddings on two days and also pizza on another. She also cleaned the pool and surrounding area every day. Gina was probably the best host we’ve ever encountered anywhere.

Negative: The rural location meant there were biting insects about but the house openings were all covered by gauze stopping their ingress; we quickly learned that we needed plenty of insect repellent whenever we went out.

Summary: Fantastic, traditional villa with great facilities and an unequalled host

Positive: Gina & Franco were fabulous hosts, meeting us upon our rather late arrival to walk us through their beautiful house. It is obvious how proud and how much they love this family home. Their property was exactly as promised. It was private, serene, with spectacular views near a quaint Tuscan village. As a store is not close by Gina generously left us a couple of frittatas for our evening meal until we could shop the next day. Gina was very responsive to our requests for information, recommending a lovely visit to her village and a family restaurant for a true Tuscan meal which we loved. We loved the remoteness of the villa. Just a note that although we had no problem with it, we had to drive to shop or go for dinner. We would highly recommend a stay at Villa Le Capanne for a true Tuscan experience.

Summary: Gina & Franco have a wonderful Tuscan villa. We loved our stay. Highly recommend.

Positive: Great hosts, even surprised us with homemade panna cotta and tiramisu! The villa is spacious, very clean and very well taken care of. The hosts provided a welcome pack of groceries for breakfast. A ten minute drive to Pomarance where you can find all you need for a perfect holiday (shops, pizzeria, market, bar...).
