Villa Libelula is fabulous modern villa offering a comfortable holiday location, with a large private swimming pool set in pretty Mediterranean gardens, with a BBQ & choice of shaded or sunny terraces.
We would like to inform you that on the right side of the property they are finishing of 2 new villas so you may have some building works going on. this could end by November when the villas should be finished.
The spacious open plan lounge and dining area with floor to ceiling windows & leads on to the well equipped kitchen. The master bedroom suite consists of a large ensuite bathroom with sunken bath and a lounge area which leads to a private balcony/terrace, with electrical window shutters operated from the bed to allow you to relax with the sun streaming into your room. FREE WIFI Internet access available in the villa.
Villa Libelula is an ideal location for a relaxing holiday, and is within a short walk of a restaurant and bar and children's playground, and within easy reach of a supermarket, a couple of Tapas restaurants & a bakery. There are three lovely sandy beaches in Las Tres Calas all within a 5minute drive of the villa, as well many more along the coast.
We provide an onsite office, 24 hour emergency contact, and all of our villas are registered and comply with the Tourist Law 159/2012. Villa Libelula registration number is: HUTTE – 000812.
This region of the Costa Dorada is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and unspoilt regions of the Mediterranean coast. For beach lovers the coastline offers an abundance of stunning blue flag golden sandy beaches and quiet coves.
PORTAVENTURA, the largest themepark in Europe, Ferrari land, and water parks are within 25minutes of the villa (by car or regular train service from L'Ametlla). The magnificent city of Barcelona is approx. 90mins away.
The villa is very easily accessible with Ryan Air and Jet 2, Thomson/TUI operating flights from the UK, Ireland and Europe to Reus only 30 mins away, Castellon 1hr 15mins away. Then there is Barcelona 90 minutes away, served by a number low cost airlines, from Europe, the UK and Ireland including; Easy Jet, Ryan-air, Vueling, Norweigian, BA, Level, KLM, Swiss, Luftansa, Eurowings, Iberia, Air France etc…. Valencia and Girona airports are also only approx. 2 hours away, also offering low cost air-lines.
The pretty fishing villages of L'Ametlla de Mar and L’Ampolla are a breath of fresh air, rare gems in the Mediterranean coastline. L’Ametlla de Mar is located within a 5-10minute drive of the villa, it is a popular destination for couples and families who return year after year to soak up the atmosphere of this quaint town which has retained it’s authentic charm. L’Ametlla de Mar offers a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. An ideal location for a relaxing drink in the sunshine, or on a warm evening in one of the tapas bars, traditional fish restaurants, or international restaurants on the port, where you can watch the catch of the day being reeled in.
There are many other fabulous harbour towns and mountain villages steeped in culture and tradition nearby. A little further a field you will find the historic cities of Reus, birthplace of Gaudi, and Tarragona with it’s beautiful Roman Amphitheatre. Then not forgetting the magnificent city, of Barcelona where the influence of Gaudi has made Barcelona one of the most impressive cities in the world.
For a relaxing day out, the Ebro Delta nature reserve is within a 25minute drive and is truly stunning, it is world renowned for the rare species of wildlife and birds. The beaches are incredible, the sand dunes were used as the setting in the film 'Sahara' starring Penelope Cruz and several music videos. There are also lots of routes to take up into the picturesque mountains, where you will find lots of pretty mountain villages and views that will take your breath away.
Golf: There are 4 golf courses within 30minutes drive of this area.

Summary: Villa and surrounding were as beautiful as the photographs, really feels like home as soon as we arrived (Martin even called the day before to check when our flight arrived so we could check-in early! ). Villa is spacious, well equipped and air conditioned in all of the spacious bedrooms and lounge, welcome pack was a lovely surprise. The kids LOVED the large pool , even when we my daughters friends called they all had such a great time. Good time had by all. Thank you. The Greys & the Atkinsons.

Summary: We so enjoyed our 2 week stay at this lovely villa, so spacious and comfortable in a quiet location. We particularly enjoyed dining on the terrace and could sit for hours enjoying a glass or two of bubbles! We loved the pool, sparkly clean and rather large compared to other villas we have stayed in over the years. The village is a short walk, where you will find local shops, bars and restaurants and a great bakery. Closer to the villa, is a nice little restaurant and bar with play area for children called Bambalina, ideal for just a drink (great G & Ts) or lunch/dinner. Overall, I would highly recommend this villa, you'll love it.

Summary: This was our first time renting a villa, and it is definitely the way forward for our family. We were there with our 2 kids and the grandparents. We all had enough space to do our own thing when we wanted to. We enjoyed the barbecue in the evenings and the pool day and night! The villa was very clean when we arrived, and we were relieved to find, water, tea, coffee etc. We are checking availability now to come back for two weeks for our summer break .

Summary: We stayed at the villa in September 2018 - two adults and two grown up children in their 20's. Really good villa, well decorated. Rooms spacious and clean. Really well equipped kitchen. Aircon throughout the house, quiet and cool :) Absolutely massive upstairs bathroom (more of an apartment!) with a huge bath. Great balcony for watching the stars. Garden is well kept, lots of sitting areas and a fabulous pool. Quiet road and easy access to local supermarket and local bars. Well worth staying at!

Summary: Easy to find and well looked after by the owners, who are on hand to help if required and very attentive. Large open plan living space downstairs with well-equipped kitchen, smart TV, extending dining table, bathroom, utility room and two bedrooms (double and twin). Upstairs is a very large suite with king-size bed, sofa bed, balcony and large bath (not shower) room. All bedrooms and the living area are effectively air conditioned. External sun blinds (some electric, some manual) help keep the house cool. Lovely outdoor seating area under cover seats 6 and is shaded apart from late afternoon. The pool is great and is nice and deep - not heated, but didn't need to be in August. Brick BBQ is good too, if a little exposed when the wind gets up. All in all a great base for a holiday. Not within walking distance to the beach with children but a very quick drive (5 mins). Half an hour to Tarragona and Portaventura, 10 mins to the Mercadona supermarket (far better and cheaper than the convenience supermarket in the estate). 1.5 hours from Barcelona airport.

Summary: We had another fantastic holiday at Villa Libelula. We were pleasantly surprised to find the villa now has air-conditioning in all three bedrooms and that there are 2 new lovely comfortable sofas. We were grateful for a few essentials in the fridge, and the toiletries which saved us having to go straight to the supermarket. Second time around the villa was equally as clean and well presented, in fact we enjoyed the villa even more like a home from home. We explored the local area more, and went up into the mountains and visited a spectacular gorge. We will consider returning again because we still left some of the beaches undiscovered and didn’t get chance to go to see the Amphitheatre in Tarragona.

Summary: we found the description accurate regarding the location, layout and facilities. the villa was very clean and the pool and garden were well maintained. we were provided very good customer service even though we arrived after midnight. we would recommend the villa to friends and relatives, it is very nice. we liked the bar nearby, we liked the beaches, and the water parks and portaventura. the are is nice and unspoilt, not like other areas of spain we have visited. we would like to come back again.
