Restored stone house with garden and private pool situated in the country-side around Arezzo (approx.. 10 km away), in the small village of Pieve San Giovanni. This property, formerly used as a mill, was turned into a nice holiday home. Although located within a small town, this house is quiet and offers nice views over the surrounding landscape.
Outside, guests can enjoy use of a spacious garden with a gazebo and a private swimming pool. The house interiors are welcoming, furnished in a rustic style.
About 4 km away there is Ponte Buriano, a small town on the banks of the Arno river whose ancient bridge was painted on the background of Leonardo’s most famous painting, Mona Lisa.
The nearby town of Arezzo offers daily train connections to Florence, Orvieto, Rome.

Summary: We had a wonderful time in villa lorena. The house is spacious, the garden and pool bigger than expected and you find everything you need there. You have a great Pavillon and everything is very private. Also the hosts were friendly and helpful when we needed them.

Summary: Let me start off by saying the hosts ( a couple that lives 45 minutes away and their son studying in university in another city) are great. They can speak English ( the son), French ( the mother) and Italian ( all 3). Very responsive and they want to please. The state of the villa is ok. The walls are generally scuffed and dirty and the bathrooms would probably benefit from a refresh. In particular the showers which are tiny and tend to be...very used.The view is mostly visible from the second floor but it's still quite authentic. The pool is an out of ground attachment its quite refreshing given the heat and limited AC. The house would also benefit from a more complete cleaning. Recognizing its in the country side, it's filled with spiders of all sizes, ants ( including the t.o ground level rooms and beds) and scorpions! 4 out of the 5 rooms has functioning AC but the hosts controlled it at a distance. They generally opened it on time when we requested it ( we proposed a fixed schedule to simplify things) The location was interesting, loads of ascending and descending roads. In the immediate village, there's a small pizzeria, reservations were preferred for groups larger than 2-3. About ten minutes aways there was another restaurant called Buon Riposo, its larger and reservations weren't required. In summary, it's a nice place with great folks that run it but it needs love. Would I rent it knowing what I know now? yes bit not at the price we paid. Cheers!

Summary: An amazing house with better veiw than on pictures. The house was fantastic, great bedrooms and living spaces. Garden and pool is amazing and bigger than I thought. The host is really easy to communicate with and very helpful in every way. It was clean and well organized! I recommend this house for a peaceful cosy stay in Toscany!

Summary: The villa is lovely, set on the side of a peaceful village with views over the olive groves. Patricia and her family are very friendly and helpful and obviously proud of the house. We had a great time sitting out in the sun, having family meals around the large kitchen table and relaxing in all the space! Plenty of car parking and you will need a car to make the most of surrounding Tuscany.

Summary: Gorgeous, spacious villa, just loved how much space we had to spread out. The hosts kept the pool open for us which was a real treat. They were really thoughtful and considerate and responsive throughout our stay. The house is lovely but not so pristine that we were worried about our 5 year old and 2 year old running around it. Really supportive of you bringing children - cots, high chair and slides were provided for our stay.

Summary: Beautiful home for a quiet retreat in Tuscany. Close to many Tuscan towns and hamlets as well as vineyards and farms. Perfect space for a group traveling together. We had 7 adults and 2 kids and there was plenty of room to spread out. The villa has everything you need to cook in and is close to Arezzo for dining out. The views are gorgeous and sunset is incredible. Wonderful stay! Thank you!

Summary: We stayed there as a family of 12 people in totals. 6 grown ups and 6 children from 4-15. The house has the charm of a tuscanian villa and we liked it a lot. Would be nice if there would be a pool robot to clean during night. Also some kitchen utensils, such as the hand blender should be renewed. Some simple games or balls etc. for children would be great for families. In August there were a lot of mosquitos so repellent is needed during evening time. Overall we had a splendid time and Paolo and his parents were always available and very helpful. There is a restaurant nearby but unfortunately the owner is not very friendly ti foreigners not speaking Italian. But in the surrounding villages and in Arezzo there are a lot of restaurants and osterias with delicious food and very friendly and helpful staff. Overall we would definitely visit Tuscany again and stay in the villa as well.

Summary: Beautiful villa.so lovely and spacious. Really well set out for a family of 3 generations sharing (or families /friend's) Plenty of room for all to have private space. It was well equipped and comfortable. Some people of a larger size may find the showers a little small but bathrooms were a good size. The view from the garden was beautiful. Arezzo was a 20 minute drive approximately and a lovely town with many excellent restaurants.

Summary: Tolles großes Haus, alles ist geräumig und angenehm. Ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommene Einrichtung, aber die hat Charme. Wir waren im Herbst dort mit zwei Familien und hatten eine schöne Zeit. Toskana pur mit Blick aus dem Schlafzimmer auf die Ebene mit Bergen im Hintergrund und Olivenhain. Wir kommen gerne wieder, sehr freundliche Besitzer.
