Positive: We went in July and the weather was amazing. Sat by the pool with our baby. The house has so much character and the town in amazing. It’s great to get away from the tourists in Croatia and be somewhere peaceful and picturesque.
Negative: Nothing at all. It’s a quirky house in a stunning location. Quiet, peaceful, restorative.
Summary: We will come back here at some point in our lives.

Positive: This beautiful old house is in a good location in Motovun and has its own parking place down on the main road. It has an aesthetic that feels comfortable enough and relaxed. Many of the structural parts of the original old house are still visible and give the interior character. There is a little patio at the back, off the bedroom floor, which is nice for breakfast. The kitchen is well enough equipped. The bed is comfortable. The communication with the host was helpful and friendly, giving all the instructions necessary for easy self check-in.
Negative: The house renovation looks like it was done on a budget. The interior finish lacks attention to detail and is quite rough in places. The photos on Booking.com make the place look better than it is in real. The bathroom is on the ground floor, two floors below the bedroom. The internal staircase steps are very high and steep, at least one and a half or even double the height of normal stair steps. The swimming pool photo being the first image you see on Booking.com is misleading, as the pool is not attached to the back of the house, it’s somewhere else in the neighbourhood. The place is a bit overpriced for what you get.

Positive: The villa is full of character, very rustic feel with stone walls and wooden beams. The location was perfect for visiting Motovun and the pricing was very reasonable. There was a parking space available which was very handy and the owner Goran was very friendly and charming. We had a peaceful one night stay.
Negative: The bathroom facilities were on the ground floor which meant going down the stairs during the night which isn't so good when you are older! The pool was "seasonal" and not open mid-May when we visited and the pool appeared to be off-site.

Positive: A truly charming stay! This beautiful old Istrian villa is full of character, blending rustic charm with modern comforts. The stone walls, wooden beams, and peaceful surroundings made for a perfect escape. We loved relaxing in the space and enjoying. It’s clear the owners take great care of the place, everything was spotless and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience authentic Istria!
Negative: The water heating tank is too small. Made showers really uncomfortable. I believe it’s better in the summer!
Summary: The stay was lovely, but the cold water was a disappointment.

Positive: I loved everything about this place. The apartment was very clean, well equipped and extremely comfortable. The stone interior had a wonderful rustic and Istrian feel to it. The location is perfect for exploring Motovun and the surroundings, the free parking was also a welcome bonus. The host was very friendly and communicative. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
Negative: There is nothing about this place that I didn't like.
