The villa is independent on two levels. This charming typical Sicilian home has an independent entrance on a small street in the historic center but away from the chaos. Inside, the house, tastefully furnished, has a living room with comfortable sofa bed 2 places, 32 "full HD flat screen TV with satellite channels and Netflix, open kitchen with all the amenities (sink 2 basins, fridge, freezer ), dining table for 5 people, and a bathroom with shower.
The sleeping area is located upstairs, and consists of a double bedroom and a small bedroom to accommodate one person. Also on the first floor is the laundry with washing machine and an extra toilet.
The property includes a beautiful terrace with stunning views of the crystal clear waters of the Timpa Nature Reserve and Taormina where you can enjoy delicious aperitifs and luxurious romantic dinners and barbecues with friends.

Summary: The flat is very clean and offers everything you need. The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning – this alone makes this flat worth a stay. But besides this great experience we had an unpleasent suprise: During our stay a family suddenly came into our flat (they still had keys) and claimed the flat to be theirs. They rented the appartment before us and there was some kind of issue with them and the owners – which is not on us to judge. Still, they had the keys to our flat... We quickly found a solution and the owners helped us with another locker for the door.

Summary: We have been visiting Italy at least once a year for the last 8 years and have rented about 40 different properties and this place has been the most disappointing. We booked for 2 weeks in January and on self check in were greeted by a cold damp room and discovered the downstairs part of the property had no heating! We sat with our coats on for the first night. The place looked like it had seen better days, damp and plaster coming off along the bottom of the walls, bathroom unventilated with mouldy walls and off and on awful drain smell. The kitchen was lacking in amenities - no kettle or anything to boil water in, no tea towels, no cups or mugs, coffee machine had been stolen by previous guests. We contacted the property manager about all this and she did provide a heater, kettle, tea and mugs for us but surely this should have been there already. On going upstairs found the washing machine with sitting stinky water. This was reported and Sylvia did order a new one which we never got the benefit of during our stay ( she did say she would reimburse any dry cleaning bills) . The upstairs toilet is in the laundry cupboard, half inaccessible and with the water turned off as it leaked. Mould around the bedroom window. Ok terrace but access up an outside spiral metal staircase making carrying things up and down difficult. We had booked this place thinking it seemed a good place to chill for 2 weeks with Netflix if the weather was bad. Wifi signal not so good so most of the time couldn't get Netflix. This was the most expensive place we booked on our 3 month trip and the worst. We tried to spend most of our time out to avoid being there. Never booked anywhere with a property manager before and won't again. Much prefer a family owned place. Staying in one now which is huge, clean as a whistle, light, warm and nearly half the price! The place is not as advertised. Only good thing was warm and comfortable bedroom.

Summary: I stayed at Silvia's lovely home for two nights in August, and everything was perfect. The house is exactly as described and Silvia's directions were easy to understand. She always responded immediately to messages and was a delight to meet. The rooftop terrace is especially breathtaking! Silvia even dropped everything when I unfortunately locked myself out to come bail me out. Highly recommended!
