Villa A at Cannon Villas is lovingly cared for by it's discerning owner of over 30 years. It is the pride and joy of the family and we are happy to share it with you. It is set right on one of Jamaica's naturally concealed beaches, on a private compound shared with 5 other family-owned villas. Rosalie your own housekeeper/cook will take great care of you, and caretaker Conroy is very attentive and helpful. Cottage A is a rare treasure located just walking distance from the secluded Laughing Waters waterfall (featured in a number of James Bond films) and 10 mins drive from the town of Ocho Rios and offers easy access to most of Jamaica's major attractions. The three airconditioned bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms are tastefully appointed, as is the whole villa to create a feeling of homeliness with quality. Our guest book is filled with sincere messages of gratitude from guests who have enjoyed some of their most memorable holidays there. Cottage A is for discerning guests who want an authentic, quaint yet tasteful beachside cottage experience.

Summary: Cottage was as described AC in rooms worked greatOpen in living/dining/kitchen so that obviously gets warm. Secluded beach was nice and quiet.

Summary: You enter Old Fort Bay through a security gate that is manned 100% of the time. The Cannon Villas have 6 Villas and you enter another gate to get into the property. Villa A is right in the beach and has the best view by far. Property is steps away from the beach. They have 2 loungers and the property has others you can use. Great to have an option to view the water without having to be on the beach. Water is gorgeous blues. It’s in Old Fort Bay. End to end the bay is about 1/4 mile walk on the beach. Really nice snorkeling less than 100 yards off the beach. Bring your snorkel gear. House is older but they have invested in the property with remodels. This is not the 4 Seasons but very nice. Definitely more of a beach villa feel. 3 rooms all with air conditioning. Main living space and kitchen are not air conditioned so you keep the doors and windows open to create a draft. Service, location, and security is really what makes this a 10/10. You will have a housekeeper(s) Marlene and Tracey. They make up your room, clean and cook for you each day. They arrive at 9 AM and stay until around 5-530. They are a couple of groundskeepers Jermaine and Favion there during the day taking care of the grounds of the 6 properties. At night 6 PM to 6 AM there is a security guard BooDoo (sp?). If you want Marlene to cook you will work with her on meals. We wanted to experience Jamaican cuisine so we went for fish, goat curry, oxtail and beans, and chicken. Take a taxi to get food.

Summary: We had a wonderful time! Marlene was an excellent cook and certainly prepared food that we loved!The easy access to the beach was wonderful and certainly was not crowded.We certainly would love to return again next year for a longer stay!

Summary: Great location, right on the beach. Staff and food were excellent. We chose to eat local dishes. Marlene is an excellent cook and took care of all our needs. Difficult to pick a favourite food - oxtail, brown stew fish, ackee and salt fish, mackerel run down, jerk chicken, rice and peas, plantain, bammy, breadfruit, salt fish fritters, etc. Everyone had a great time. Would definitely return again.

Summary: This villa was the perfect peaceful and fun getaway for my family. We stayed here with 2 kids (3 & 5) and 3 adults and it was the perfect amount of space for us. Marlene did a great job making sure we were comfortable, well-fed (she’s an amazing cook), and that the villa was always tidy and comfortable. Matthew was the perfect host. We traveled during a time of extreme uncertainty due to the hurricane and Matthew was extremely communicative, understanding, flexible and accommodating.

Summary: Just spend nine incredible days with my wife and two grown sons at this beach side villa in Mammee Bay, just outside of Ocho Rios. Marlene, our housekeeper, was a boss who attended to our every need with her culinary skills and great hospitality and Anthony, our groundsman, was always available to chop coconuts, man the grill and provide any other necessary assistance. For adults or a family with kids, this villa cannot be beat for location and service. We've been coming here for years and cannot wait to return. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Great location and beautiful beach. May not be for the Jamaica travel novice or those who prefer the all-inclusive lifestyle. Would definitely stay again. The housekeeper and sometimes cook, Marleen was a delight.
