Nestled on the top of its own hill, Villa Le Perchoir (“The Perch”) offers complete privacy as it is hidden from the neighbors’ view by its elevation and trees on the south side. The villa provides sweeping views of the Colombier and Flamands landscape on the east and west sides, and from its beautiful open deck on the north side a cooling breeze and a stunning ocean view of Flamands Beach.
Located on the north side of St. Barth, Villa Le Perchoir is ideally located about a mile from the airport and town of St. Jean, and a mile and a half from the town of Gustavia. It is close to most of the island’s many points of interest, including world-class shopping, beautiful beaches, and a host of other activities all within a radius of three miles.
Designed to welcome two guests, the villa is on one level, built on a family property about three hundred meters from the public road. The private drive used for access is shared with neighbors who are all part of the owner’s family, with the nearest the owner himself one hundred meters down a hill. Its exceptional location gives Villa Le Perchoir the advantage of great privacy and quietness not often found on the island.
Coming into the villa, you have a large terrace with blinds where you can relax in a hammock or lounge chairs, or tan under the open sky while your meat or fish is grilling on the BBQ. From this terrace, you have access to the very large living-dining-kitchen area with views of the ocean through our sliding glass doors which run the length of the room.
The inviting living area features a comfortable sofa and chairs in front of a flat screen TV, so you can keep up with the world wide news, look at your favorite DVD or listen to your preferred music via our satellite TV, radio/CD/DVD/BLUE RAY/IPOD dock station surround sound system. The villa has internet wifi access for those of you who wish to stay connected with your laptop. Between the living area and the kitchen is a dining table which we predict you’ll rarely use because you’ll usually choose to eat outside on the gorgeous deck (described below) overlooking the ocean.
The kitchen is fully furnished. You will find utensils, cutlery and many appliances including a microwave, coffee-maker, blender, toaster, table water-heater, etc. The kitchen has an electric stove, oven, refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker, and dish-washer. Fortunately, we practically never have power cuts, but if that should occur Villa Le Perchoir has a no-noise automatic generator which takes over, so your meals and happiness are not interrupted. We want you to “Be Happy!”
The bedroom is spacious and lovely with a king bed, dressing table and a large closet. It is air-conditioned and also has a silent ceiling fan; if you prefer room temperature, the window and sliding glass door are equipped with screens through which the ocean breezes gently blow. The bathroom adjoins the bedroom and has a large two sink mirrored vanity with a generous shower area and lots of hot water. The villa has daily maid service with fresh towels Monday-Saturday. Walking out from the bedroom, you have direct access to both the terrace and the large, covered wrap-around deck.
The deck runs the length of the villa and has open views of the landscape on the west and a sweeping ocean view over Flamands Beach on the north and north-east sides. On the north side of the deck is a hammock, large dining table and chairs adjacent to the kitchen, comfortable lounge chairs, sun beds, and a hot tub, all overlooking the ocean. From the deck you can see the always changing blue of the sea and several islands and islets, including St-Maarten, Anguilla, Tintamarre, Fourchue, and more. You’ll never tire of this amazingly colorful view, and you’ll likely spend a lot of time on the deck enjoying the St. Barth life!

Summary: Overall I can't find enough good things to say about the property and the hosts. The villa is absolutely gorgeous, with seemingly every little nuance thought through. Want to grill some meat? There's a grill on the patio! Want to make cocktails? There's a shaker and martini glasses? Worried about mosquitoes? The bedroom has a mosquito net. The list goes on and on.Michel and Jany have also been absolutely wonderful hosts throughout the entire experience. They picked us up at the ferry and drove us around the first night, when we were challenged to get around. They were also very sweet and thoughtful by leaving us things like water and a fruit basket in the property. They even left us delicious "happy anniversary" cake, knowing that we are celebrating our anniversary on the island.The only slight downside of the property is the location. Don't get me wrong - it's still really good: an unbeatable view and only a 15 minute walk to Flamand beach. However it is a bit of a longer walk to Gustavia with a lot of hills and stretches without a "real" sidewalk. That being said, in our experience any place in Gustavia or other popular location will be a lot more expensive for what you get. My recommendation is to avoid the same mistake we made and make sure you have a rental car booked way in advance since taxis are extremely difficult during high season and getting around can get challenging.

Summary: We had a wonderful 7 night stay at Villa Perchoir in March 2024. The place is amazing! The view is incredible. We had everything we needed. The villa was well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Daily maid service was a bonus. First class everything right down to the towels and robes. The pool was heated. It was such an amazing experience to enjoy the pool while overlooking such a beautiful view. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing in each day. Villa Perchoir is truly a wonderful experience!

Summary: The views from Le Perchoir are amazing! The house is in an ideal location. The pool is perfect for hot days and you can open the house doors to feel the island breezes all day long. The AC unit in the bedroom ensures you get a cool, good nights sleep. The kitchen is well equipped and we made many dinners there. The cleaning woman is very nice and she does a great job tidying up and providing clean towels and new bedding. Michel is a fabulous host and can answer any questions you have. We had a perfect stay. Can’t wait to go back!

Summary: This was our 1st stay at Le Perchoir and on St Barth's and nothing that I can type or show will describe how incredible the experience was. Michel and Jany have truly thought of everything needed at their private villa to make your stay enjoyable. As this was my honeymoon they went out of their way to provide little touches for my wife to let us know how welcome we were there. Many others have stated that the photos don't do this place justice and that's 100% true. The villa is centrally located near Flamands, Columbier and St Jean's beaches along with a French bakery and restaurant. Some of our favorite moments for the trip were sitting on the fabulous deck which overlooks Flamands beach in the plunge pool, hot tub or hammock and enjoying the sounds of the ocean. This place is truly a perfect couples getaway location with hosts who are friendly and helpful.

Summary: This is our third stay here, and our first in 13 years. The villa has been greatly improved since our last stay. Incredibly, the photos don't do justice to how amazing the views are. We loved the plunge pool and jacuzzi on the private deck. The kitchen is very functional and the bedroom is very large. It's only a 2-minute drive to a great patisserie and restaurant, and a 2 minute drive (or short walk) down the hill to Flamands Beach. Perfect couples getaway, and a great value! The property owners are very friendly and responsive. Can't wait to come back!

Summary: Our stay at Villa Perchoir was absolutely spectacular! We loved the pool, hot tub, and views! The privacy the villa offered was beyond compare and, our hosts were so nice and were available if we had any questions. The almost daily cleaning service was very nice to refresh towels, do light cleaning, etc. We definitely would love to come back!
