Villa Pocilgo stands on the site of the original pigsties, next to the main house, Casa Velha, where owners reside. It features a very bright living room with open fireplace and two windows, two full size seating/sleeping divans, one small double bed-settee and a fitted kitchenette/diner, leading to a bathroom and to a large double bedroom. Outside there is a terrace featuring a pergola partly covered in grape producing vines, a built-in barbeque at one end and a dining table, large parasol and chairs at the other end. Ideal for romantic alfresco dining. It looks across a small Mediterranean garden to a lawn area, a lake (biological swimming-pool) and open land covered in almond and fig trees, with the ocean as a backdrop. The view from all rooms and terrace is panoramic and quite beautiful.
The property is a small farm located on a protected piece of land, between the Boavista Golf Resort, and the ocean. There are three houses on the grounds: Casa Velha, the original farmhouse, family home not for rental. Villa Pocilgo, a charming and cozy 1 bedroom cottage (max. 4 occupants) with open fireplace, next to Casa Velha, with its own terrace and BBQ and sharing the same amazing views across the biological swimming-pool and the gardens, through fig and almond trees and wild fennel, to the sea, . And Villa Celeiro, a very spacious 2 bedroom split-level villa (max. 6 occupants), with mezzanine, its own garden with lawn, rockery and pine and almond trees.
One can walk along the cliff path, after crossing the land, either left to Praia de Porto de Mós, or right towards Praia da Luz. The very large biological pool, shared by the 3 houses, looks like a natural lake and is a favourite with most children! It is also a great attraction for migrating birds etc...

Yoga and meditation: Because of its location and the layout of the grounds, Quinta da Falésia could be an excellent venue for small groups wishing to practice both yoga and meditation during their holidays.
Organic farming and gardening: All cultivation at the farm, including the gardens, is organic, no chemicals are used anywhere on the grounds. Guests wishing to try their hand at gardening are welcome! Just ask the caretakers for tools and a pair of are gradually extending the garden areas by pruning and thinning the existing shrubs and succulent plants, then planting the resulting cuttings in protected areas to root or directly where they are supposed to grow into new plants.

Summary: We have stayed several times in Lagos but this was the perfect place for us. The property is just outside Lagos but beaches town and supermarkets are all about aten minute drive away. The setting is very peaceful and quiet so ideal for relaxing outside and looking out at the wonderful views. If you are feeling active you can quickly access the coastal path and walk to the beach. Simon and Ana Maria are wonderful hosts and ensure you have all you need. We look forward to our next stay there Annette and Gerry

Summary: Approaching the property through streets lined with golf estate villas and manicured front gardens, you finally arrive at this former farmhouse with a beautiful garden in perfect tranquillity. The two rental units are appropriately furnished in country house style and the living space extends perfectly onto the terrace, with plenty of space and a well-maintained outdoor barbecue. On top of that, the hosts are very nice. For us, this place made up for some of the annoying feelings about the hustle and bustle of Lagos.

Summary: We had a wonderful month stay. The outdoor area is like your own oasis with the pond, beautiful trees, and a view of the ocean. Simon & Jane could not have been more helpful! Simon even drove us to a car rental pickup when we had car issues. Hopefully we’ll make it back again!

Summary: The house is perfect for a couple, wouldn’t have changed anything. The garden is beautiful and leads to the cliff tops with lovely walks east and west. With orchids and birds in the garden it was perfect for the naturalist in me to enjoy. Simon was helpful and friendly. Just a really lovey time for us both.

Summary: After long travel from Barcelona we arrived in the dark night, so we couldn't see of the surrounding (but, could feel it) the little house already warmed our heart. And then... We woke up and seen the natural magic of the land. The view, sound and the feeling!!! Priceless The owners are very helpful and always ready for your needs. Although we got sick after the 2nd day, we couldn't imagine better place to pass this period of time. We are very glad to get a little part of this magical, Magical paradise. Thx to Jane, Simon and Ana for sharing their authentic Portugal Quinta with us. Well Recommended to disconnect from the robotic lifestyle. We definitely will be back!
