2 Bedroom Villa in Kozljak, Kožljak

Our villa is located at the edge of a little hamlet of Kozljak, 6 km away from the sea. It consists of two levels: the ground floor with an open plan kitchen and living room and the top floor with 2 bedrooms. In between is a level with a bathroom, separate toilette and utility room. We have decorated the house in traditional style and furnished it carefully. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, cooker with an oven, fridge, dishwasher, and a table for six. In the air-conditioned living area is a comfortable sofa with a coffee table, a built in fireplace, a flat screen Satellite TV with usb player and a Stereo CD player with radio.
A few steps up is a bathroom with bath and shower, in the corner is a washing machine. There is a separate WC on the same level, as well as the utility room with iron and ironing board. The top floor has two bedrooms both with air-conditioning; one has a double bed, and one has a double bed plus extra single bed.
The front garden is 1200 m2, the back garden extends into the nature park and is beautiful for evenings spent relaxing. In the front of the house is a lovely sitting out covered terrace overlooking the pool, from which you can enjoy the views and sunsets; next to this is a side terrace with built-in barbecue. Please note that from mid June to mid September we can only take Saturday to Saturday reservations !

Summary: The Villa is the place to be. We found the villa spotless and the handover from the owner was excellent. This is the perfect place to be for relaxing and enjoying the quietness of the nature. The Villa is lovely and setup with a lot of love. It was our home for 2 weeks. The pool and garden area is really great. The owner came a couple of times to clean the pool. We can recommend the place 100% and had a really great vacation!

Summary: We spent a week here at the end of July 2018. The villa is beautifully kept, the pool is clean, and everything we needed in terms of kitchen utensils etc was there - but as the review title indicates, the best thing about this property is the peace. You drive up a small lane, and the property sits at the top of it, looking out over a few farm buildings and then the trees, hills and mountains beyond. There were a few thunderstorms when we were there, but it didn't matter, as we just sat on the terrace and watched the rain sweeping in and out of the mountains. We visited Rabac and Labin, went on the Zip wire over the gorge, went around churches and castles, but the joy for me was returning to the villa at the end of the day. My eleven year old daughter loved the garden, and spent hours looking for unusual Croatian bugs, butterflies and lizards, and my fourteen year old son would have happily spent the whole week, sitting in the shade of the parasols, and then swimming in the pool when he felt hot. There were five of us in total, and we fitted in just fine - having the air conditioning definitely helped in term of our comfort. The owner was really helpful and obliging, turning up in the middle of the night to welcome us, after our flight was delayed - and giving us excellent advice about which beaches to try and which to avoid! This was a lovely place to stay - I would recommend this villa to anyone who wants a real holiday away from it all!

Summary: The villa is located in the mountain at the end of a very secluded road. We didn't see anyone else around the villa for the week making for a very quiet stress free vacation. It was a very hot week so we made a lot of use of the pool which was very clean. The villa was very well equipped and the air conditioning worked great. The kitchen is starting to show some wear and tear as the stove top and oven buttons didn't work too well. If you would like to visit a local restaurant I would recommend Tri Murve which is located in Vozilici. We went twice and loved the food and service!

Summary: I can't rate this villa highly enough. As others have said, 'what you see is what you get' - no tricks of photography. The villa has been furnished to a very high quality and, most importantly, the beds are comfortable. The surroundings are quiet (you will even see Mink nearby!) and private. The owners are delightfully helpful (giving you complete privacy or helping you to plan your trip, as you prefer). You will need a car. One note of caution (nothing to do with the villa) is that if you eat out, it is better to eat at established, non-seasonal restaurants otherwise you could be waiting in excess of 1.5h for service at coastal seasonal restaurants - that's if you don't give up beforehand!! If you like the equivalent of 'Brighton of the UK' experience, head for Opatija or, if you like medieval villages with cobble streets, there is no shortage with Rovinj, Buzet, Motovun, Labin etc etc. especially nice. I have no hesitation in recommending this villa to other guests - oh, and by the way, do take time to go up to the highest point behind the villa (Vela Ucka) for the fabulous views of the region and islands.

Summary: We cannot add to the reviews already given. It is exactly as described - better than described. The local restaurant in Vozilici recommended by the owner was the icing on the cake. If you are able to drag yourself away from the villa then we would suggest hiring a boat in nearby Rabac.

Summary: You simply can't help taking in a gulp of Isterian air as you approach this Villa, it is simply stunning. There are so many design touches, they make you feel at home. The sunset views are beautiful, and the towering rockface monoliths that the Villa backs onto cause you to look in every direction. You definately need a car and be a confident driver, the short but interesting switch back climb that includes a cobbled tunnel will cause a sweat until you build in confidence, but it makes the holiday more interesting after all you are located in a National Park. There is plenty to explore, from the fortified towns, to some fine restaurents for eating. This Villa is for those who want a little adventure with a touch of luxury.

Summary: What a beautiful place. Stunning views and total peace. This villa is exactly what we hoped for. There are no clever camera shots, what you see is what you get. We had the most enjoyable week here, we did not see another person until we ventured out to the local towns, which themselves were beautiful. The owner was very pleasant and helpful and the villa was so charming. This has been one of the best holidays I have had and would not hesitate to return. Due to its location a car is a must really if you want to get out and about. There are supermarkets about 5 miles away and the beautiful Rabec a little further on where you can sit on the beech and choose from many restaurants. From what we saw Crotia is such a stunningly beautiful place which I wish I had visited years ago.
