Positive: Stunning views over Tuscany, with Florence in the distance. Very hot, so the magnificent pool was a welcome relief. The property is very comfortable with 2 good sized bedrooms, multiple terraces, bbq area and a spacious lounge. There is also a small kitchen. Calo is a fantastic host, he was an excellent source for recommendations regarding places to visit, supermarkets, restaurants etc. and his butcher was amazing! He even went out and bought an air conditioning machine when the mercury nudged up to the high 30’s, nothing was a bother. Calo and his family live next door but are very discreet, yet on hand if we needed anything. Their 2 massive shepherd dogs are extremely friendly, kept us company on an evening and welcomed us home every day too.
Negative: The road up to the property isn’t for the faint hearted.
Summary: Secluded retreat within easy reach of Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa and Volterra.

Positive: Rated 10 of 10 by former guests I have to admit that it wasn't quit what we had expected, when we arrived at the villa. After about ten minutes driving on a winding, narrow and bumpy street up the hill through the forest we finally made it to Villa "Tutti Colori", and with a first glance on the building my wife said: "well..." But then we met Calo, probably one of the nicest and kindest guys I've ever met, who was already awaiting us and who showed us our accommodation for the next two weeks. And standing on that balcony of the first floor, looking over the countryside, I got this feeling that this is truly an exceptional place. Of course, the villa has basically everything you need, but just in case one should miss something Calo was so very helpful to help us out, with a heater, for example (because it was surprisingly cold in the villa during our first week), a mixer, and even a shaker. But what really makes the Villa a gorgeous place is this unique atmosphere on the balcony, especially in the evening, when you sit on your chair, have your meal, and just relax and enjoy. The air is fresh and clean, the green of the hills in the near and far distance is so soohting, and the peacefulness and silence of the surrounding, only interrupted by some birds' chirruping, is so very much calming down and relaxing. But wait, there is still more: the colours of the skye, the form of the clouds and the sun (especially in the evening) are constantly changing, and you just can't stop watching this programm. The Villa has a pool and even a little gym for some workouts, and Calo and his charming wife Debora, who bought that estate a couple of years ago, are doing their best to get it in shape, where maybe something is still in a little need of renovation. No need to mention that our accommodation was very clean! So yes, considering the whole picture, this is a 10 of 10.
Negative: The drive on "Via di Mezzano", which leeds from the main road (connecting Strada in Chianti and San Polo in Chianti) to the Villa, is really adventurous and nothing for the faint-hearted, and the last part, which leeds as somekind of a hiker's way from Via di Mezzano to the Villa is almost a killer. But well, real beauty does have its price, doesn't it.
Summary: A hidden gem in the forest - on a second glance

Positive: Calo and Debora were superb hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well looked after. Even leaving food for us when we arrived very late at night. Calo even came down to the nearest village to guide us back to the villa. He also brought us little food treats occasionally and one special thing during the afternoon, an extremely refreshing home made glass of Limoncello, crushed ice and sugar, also a similar almond treat on another day. The two dogs Dante and Neve were extremely friendly and we felt very safe up in the beautiful Tuscan hills with them around. The villa is positioned beautifully with stunning views of the Tuscan scenery with Florence in the distance. Extremely peaceful too. There are very many beautiful towns and villages to visit and you will be spoiled for choice, but you will most definitely need a car. We loved our stay in the Chianti region and can't thank Calo and Debora enough for making our stay so very special and one we shall never forget! Sandie and Jim
Negative: Nothing!

Positive: We spent an unforgettable weekend in this villa. The location is perfect, with a spectacular view. The villa is newly renovated and artistic in every corner. The host is an amazing person, very kind and friendly, trying to be helpful in everything you may need. They have two super-lovely dogs who are very friendly and not scary at all (even for people who are always afraid of dogs). These dogs made our stay even more pleasurable. The road to the villa is also very beautiful. We were 6 friends (3 couples), and everyone could have a comfortable bed and tight sleep. We highly recommend both locals and tourists visit this place. We are very thankful to this beautiful family and plan to return when possible.
Negative: There's nothing we didn't like.
Summary: The best place I've stayed ever.
