The house strives to be as sustainable as possible with solar powered pool mechanicals, hot water heaters and a solar back-up system to keep the basics powered at all times. For those who can’t quite be off the grid completely – the good news is that the house has high-speed Wi-Fi and strong cell signals. So when you need to be connected – you can do so with ease. While we provide portable speakers we have quiet hours and we are very strict about it. Our community has an agreement so that everyones enjoy the nature respecting each other. Our quiet hours are from 9pm-6am.

Summary: Overall a very nice stay. It's incredibly windy so be prepared. The upper deck always had a gust of wind so do not put anything that can blow away. The design of the house was amazing, they only have outdoor showers which we enjoyed. Would recommend as long as you don't mind a lot of wind.

Summary: Really a tremendous spot. A beautiful, incredibly clean and well-maintained house with an amazing view on a large and secluded piece of property. Sitting on the patio at night, listening to the tree frogs and looking at the amazingly bright stars, I felt like I was a million miles away from any concerns. Really a great place to unwind. We have a family of five, and there was plenty of room for everyone - the bedrooms are spacious and each one has its own bathroom. The kitchens (there is a smaller one on the first floor and a large one on the top floor) are fully stocked with every cooking utensil you could possibly need. There are beach bags, yoga mats, beach chairs, pool toys, a grill - the list goes on and on. They have really thought of everything you could possibly need. In addition, Alfredo, who manages the property was incredibly helpful. Always responded promptly. A couple of caveats. You do need to understand that a lot of the house is outside - the main dining area as well as the main sitting areas are all under a huge covered deck. The showers are all open to the sky (walls around them for privacy). So, if you're one who just can't stand to be around any crawly creatures, this probably isn't the house for you. I will say I hate bugs, and it didn't bother me in the least. There are mosquito nets around all the beds and really good screens on all of the bedroom doors and windows. There is also no A/C - but the house is incredibly well ventilated, and it was never the least bit uncomfortable. There is also a small hotel of sorts next store (has the feel of kind of a high-end commune) that serves Vegan breakfasts and has yoga and offers spa treatments. Overall, I can't say enough good things about this spot. I always feel like the ultimate question with any Vrbo type experience is "would you stay there again?" And the answer here is an emphatic "yes."

Summary: We loved everything about our stay! With outdoor showers you feel you are one with nature. There is no AC but you get enough breeze that it stays cool throughout the house. The house offers massages through an outside party for an extra costs which was a nice touch to have. The house is exactly as pictured, there was a group of 5 of us so there was more than enough space. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and would definitely recommend and stay here again

Summary: This house was perfect for a quick weekend getaway with friends. The communication with management was easy and they were on top of anything we needed. The house was perfect! Our only advice for spending time in Vieques is - rent a Jeep. We rented a golf cart (we tried to rent a Jeep but they were all sold out) and while it worked to get around, it's not the safest mode of transportation on the island. If you're thinking about booking this house, DO IT! We would love to come back and stay longer.

Summary: We cannot say enough great things about our stay at UN POCO DE FE… a Leap of Faith. The Villa is gorgeous! The space is so well thought out and furnished with high quality, comfortable furniture. Owners Janet & Richard spared no expense. The Villa is perfectly designed for outdoor living in luxury, providing a huge terrace upstairs and huge patio downstairs with access to a big swimming pool that goes to 8 feet! - which we loved!! Each bedroom had it’s own outdoor shower with Le Labo products and Ralph Lauren towels to provide extra pampering. The owners provided board games, lots of books, gym equipment, beach gear, and stocked kitchen supplies making it super easy to cook. Nothing was lacking. There’s even an office space with great views in case you have to put in work time. The pool and acres of property were so well maintained, it was hard for us to leave the Villa each day to explore Vieques beaches. You are surrounded by gorgeous unobstructed ocean and jungle views being set atop a hill, and local birds are happy at home all around you with their beautiful songs and bright colors. There is no AC because it is not needed. Everything is screened and all doors can be kept open allowing the continuous breeze to provide a comfortable temperature. At night we would keep everything open and fall asleep to the sounds of Coqui and jungle life. One day, we got a special visit by wild horses grazing on the outside of the property - it was mesmerizing and so cool to see them in their natural habitat. Every morning, the wonderful team at La Finca Victoria next door served us a healthy, vegan breakfast and Yoga session which was perfect for setting your intentions for the day. They were so helpful booking massages for us which were done at the Villa, and were happy to help with anything. They are a great team of warm hearted people and we thoroughly enjoyed our morning’s with them. As for the team managing the Villa - Gigi, Alfredo and Alexa - what a terrific bunch of people. They were all super helpful making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy paradise and was always available - whether it was to provide beach hopping recommendations and ensure we were comfortable and happy. La Chiva, Sun Bay and Caracas are great beaches. Thanks to Janet for help securing a car rental when we had a hard time finding availability. It’s good to have an SUV/Jeep to get around. We cannot wait to return to Un Poco De Fe - it is a truly special place.
