Sweet and welcoming, the spacious Villa Vrisses is delightfully located between the villages of Nipos and Vrisses (famous for its river and excellent tavernas), just 10 minutes drive away from the sandy beaches of Georgioupolis, Almyrida, Kalyves. With 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fully air-conditioned rooms, private pool, spacious gardens and interiors finished in traditional style, Villa Vrisses is a truly perfect holiday home for up to 7 guests to enjoy all the Greek and Cretan hospitality.
Inside, the villa is set over 2 floors. The interiors are fully air-conditioned (included in the rental price), and finished with taste and style making wide use of local stone and traditional Cretan elements. On the ground floor there is a large lounge with adjoining kitchen and dining area. The lounge is equipped with comfortable sofas (as well as a sofa bed for the 7th guest), TV, direct access to the veranda. The well equipped kitchen (4 cooking, fridge/freezer, oven, washing machine) opens straight to the lounge area where a dining table is located. On the ground floor there is also a spacious twin bedroom opening straight onto the garden. A family bathroom with shower is also located on this floor. On the upper floor there are 2 further airy bedrooms and a family bathroom with bathtub. The bedrooms are respectively a double and a twin and have access to a lovely furnished terrace providing relaxing views over the countryside.
Outside, Villa Vrisses is surrounded by well kept gardens with lawn, mediterranean shrubs and flowers. A true oasis for relaxing hours listening to the sound of the cicadas! The private swimming pool (with children section) measures 6m x 4.5m and the depth is between 0.4m and 1.5m. Comfortable sunbeds and parasols are provided for the guests to enjoy. A terrace at the entrance of the villa also offers excellent opportunities for outdoor dining (together with a brick built barbecue for excellent charcoal grilled meals).
The property, thanks to its spacious interiors and its large exteriors, guarantees a pleasure and safe stay. All the areas, including the swimming pool, are carefully sanitized and sterilized for the health and tranquility of guests.

Summary: We can't recommend this wonderful place enough. Elisa was the perfect host and was so welcoming to us (a family with three children). The villa has plenty of room and the pool area is ideal - bigger than we thought and set within beautiful gardens. The house was clean and spacious with very effective air conditioning which was essential during our August trip. The local town is pleasant and it's only a short drive to loads of places (the lake is great fun (get there early to save queuing for a pedalo), Georgiopolis OK for a sea swim, Rethymno the place for a town and long, busy beach, and Chania itself is busy and full of things to do). Not that you'll want to leave the villa of course! Elisa helped us with local recommendations and even helped my daughter to learn some Greek! We hope to come back soon!

Summary: A beautiful villa with an amazing view on the mountain Lefkas Ori. A great hospitality from the owners Nikos and Elisa. The place is nice and quit, but there is need for a car. Nearest taverna , coffee corner and supermarket reachable within 5 minutes of drive. Definitely will go there back in the future. It was our first time to visit Crete and we fell in love with it!

Summary: Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Aufenthalt. Sehr zuvorkommende, freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Das Haus war sehr sauber, es war alles da, was man für ein entspannten Urlaub braucht Wir konnten sehr viel von Vryses aus unternehmen. Das Haus, die Gegend ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Summary: The property & grounds were delightful & very comfortable. Excellent location between two villages & 15/20 minute drive to the nearest beach. Plenty of restaurants & cafes nearby & very good value. The location was just right for chilling by the pool, with beautiful views of the Lefka Ori mountains .

Summary: For those seeking to be in the mix, in the centre of a lively party scene, don't come here...this villa, set on a rural road 1km from the nearest settlement, is peaceful, well maintained and equipped, with stunning views of the mountains from the balcony. There is a neighbouring villa but it is out of sight and neither disturbed the other. Apart from a horse (who likes to be fed) and the buzz of crickets, there is nothing else to distract - absolutely wonderful. Vrisses (Vyrses), the nearest village, has all you need and there is an excellent beach 15 minutes away in Georgioupoli. It is also convenient for the Imbros Gorge (much quieter than Samaria) and the road down to Hora Stakion and the south coast with ferries to Loutro. The owner is on hand to repair or fix anything that might go wrong. A fantastic spot which we would be happy to rent again.

Summary: We had a great time in this villa. The place is extremely well situated in the countryside but not far from a supermarket and pharmacy, as well as to the town of Vryses, with its beautiful river and outdoor restaurants. The garden was very well kept and the landscape very beautiful indeed. It was agreeable to find complementary coffee, tea, juice, water, etc, when we arrived. The host was available whenever we needed. Very good experience. We recommend
