Tastefully furnished with country furniture, La Treille sleeps 2 to 6. Located in north-east Dordogne, La Treille looks out onto 12 acres of walnut groves and is surrounded by 800 acres of woods offering guests a choice of delightful signposted walks and cycling for children and adults. Summary: This property is set in an amazingly peaceful and tranquil place. If you want a break away with very little interaction with the outside world other than the occasional deer then this is the place. Irina and Michael are the perfect hosts. They are only close by so you know where to find them but equally they leave you to enjoy your holiday. The gite itself was perfect for us (family of five, 3 children aged 5 to 10). The pool is lovely, and during the hot week we were staying it was perfect for us to cool down in with us spending most days in it! There is no noise or light pollution and sitting outside listening to the crickets in the evening with a book was really peaceful. The Boulangerie is a 20 minute walk or 3/4 minute drive, and is open 6 days per week. A larger supermarket is only 10 minutes drive away. The local village/town also has a lovely river that we paddled in, and a small river side cafe, a 2/3 km walk. Finally, you are also only a few minutes walk from some excellent trails for running/hiking/mountain biking. If you are even thinking about renting this gite, then think no more, you will not regret it. A truly fantastic holiday home to escape the hustle and bustle.

Summary: La Treille, Irina, Michael and Melkie (dog) are all wonderful and we will miss it all. We consider ourselves to have been lucky to have been in this little pocket of heaven. We loved the pool, the terrace, the view from the terrace and the amazing walks from the front door. The gites is a lovingly restored farmhouse and is thoughtfully equipped. Just go ahead and book you won’t be disappointed. We managed to be there with our dog, Ziggy and friends and family who came and went during our months stay. Sonia and Nicky

Summary: We had an amazing relaxing 2 weeks in the beautiful gite. Irina & Michael are really lovely people wonderful hosts they make you feel very welcome and nothing was to much . trouble. Can't wait to go back

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a lovely house on the edge of a small quite hamlet with views of farm land and woods. No neighbours are looking into the property or garden so it feels very private. The house was very spacious. Due to the hot weather, and with young children, we spent most of the week in the pool. New Bakery opened a couple of weeks beforehand which was excellent, 25 mins walk or a few minutes by car. Really lovely part of France and we would definitely recommend.

Summary: Great house and pool in a truly rural location, with very large grounds to the rear. Cycling, walking and tourist attractions galore in the Perigord. Nearest supermarket Excedeuil 15 minutes, new Boulangerie less than 5 mins drive away opening June 7. Excellent hosts.

Summary: The property was fantastic and so peaceful. All you could ask for, our children loved their time swimming and playing in the pool so did we. We could not recommend the place more. Our biggest regret was having to leave even though we were going to Paris. We will definitely return. It was wonderful meeting Irina and Micheal the hosts, thank you so much.

Summary: We had an amazing time at Le Bost. The walks straight from the garden were perfect for our 3 kids and dog. We spent lazy days by the pool and thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing break. Plenty to see and do nearby if you want explore the Perigord.

Summary: Beautiful villa, in a delightful setting! We had a fantastic family holiday, and was able to mix day trips visiting local attractions (there are many) with lazy days around the pool. The location is very remote/rural and private, a great place to get away from it all and relax. The children loved looking out for the foxes that came out in the evening in the fields opposite. Irana and Michael live 'next door' but you don't actually see them, unless you go and knock their door. The guys were really friendly and helpful, otherwise they leave you to enjoy your holiday. The villa is modern inside and very comfortable. Could do with a larger TV, but meant we didn't watch it much, which was a good thing. I would have given a five star rating if there was a local baker or café within walking distance. A car is essential every time you leave the villa, unless you are enjoying the country walking routes which you can pick-up right outside the villa. I would be very happy to recommend this property and Irana & Michael.
