Whangaumu 91 is a stylish, modern, up-market house with views over the gorgeous Whangaumu Bay and a 3 minute walk to the beach, set up for your relaxation and fun.
Swimming, boating, sunbathing, kayaking, fishing, walking, sunset cocktails, barbecues with the family, stargazing, games, or just relaxing on the balcony with a good book - it's all yours. Whangaumu 91 is private, comfortable, and is a great base for exploring the Tutukaka Coast, including diving/snorkeling at the Poor Knights.
Whangaumu Bay is a friendly seaside area, a great family beach for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, boating, building sandcastles, or walking. There is a great walk (off high tide) from Whangaumu Bay, along multiple golden sand beaches and over the rock pools to Ngunguru - to pick up a coffee, or have fish 'n chips for dinner!
Whangaumu 91 is only eight minutes from the Tutukaka village with its shops, marina, restaurants, pizza, and gallery. Dive and snorkel trips run to the world-renowned Poor Knights Islands from Tutukaka. As well as Whangaumu Bay, the Tutukaka Coast includes Sandy Bay (surfing), Matapouri Bay (wow!), Whale Bay (walking access only) and several other gorgeous white sand beaches. National Geographic claimed the Tutukaka Coast as one of the best in the world.
Walks include to the Tutukaka lighthouse, the amazing Tane Moana Kauri tree, and the Whananaki Coastal Walkway.
Boats and jet skis can be launched right from the beach at Whangaumu Bay, and also nearby at Kowharewa Bay, Ngunguru, and the Tutukaka marina.
Unlimited, high speed Starlink internet is provided free. We also provide an initial full set of bed linen and towels, and don't apply a standard cleaning charge: so no hidden costs!
- The house sleeps maximum of six, however maximum FOUR adults please, and NO party/event groups.
- The third bedroom has 1 double and 1 single bed in bunk format (one up, two down) - suitable mostly for children.
- There are steps inside and out, so it unfortunately may not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility, and young children may need to be supervised.
- Well-behaved dogs may be acceptable but NOT on the furniture - please contact the hosts to agree PRIOR to booking. The house has a fenced terrace area where dogs can be safely left outside if they need to be left behind while guests are out.

Summary: This home really has the WOW factor! Beyond the views and location, the home is a perfectly laid out with all the amenities you would need. There is a very short stroll to the beach where you can use the provided kayaks are just take a walk or swim. And drinks at night on the balcony while you watch the sunset is something you will not forget. Oh, and Shane & Eddie answer all your questions quickly and are welcoming hosts. We had 2 couples and our dog and we all loved it. Thank you, we will be back!
