There is a wood-burning stove to make it cozy at night, a fire pit to roast marshmallows, enclosed front porch and a deck to enjoy the views.
Take a walk on the beach and collect from endless seaglass, shells, drift wood and heart shaped rocks that cover the shore. Further down the road is Damariscotta, yet another quintessential harbor community. The Boothbay Harbor region is an hours drive and offers the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Boothbay Railway Village and Antique Auto Museum. Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Lisa’s cottage. The home was comfortable and the location private and convenient. The beach was a short, pleasant walk from the house and most days, we were the only ones at the beach. Next door neighbors were super nice! We enjoyed searching for sea glass, trips to Rockland, Camden, Owls HeadLighthouse, Farnsworth Museum, mini golf, shopping, eating. The weather was rotten and we didn’t even care! 😂. A great vacation in a great location! Thanks so much for the accommodations!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Lisa's cottage--the location was great, with a short walk to Cooper's Beach, easy access to Rockland, and enchanting views of Rockland Harbor. Although the weather wasn't ideal most of the first week of our visit, we did have a beautiful day toward the end of the week for a trip to Monhegan Island (one of the highlights of our visit--other highlights included a 2-hour sail on the Schooner Olad out of Camden, and an amazing dinner at Primo restaurant in Rockland). We did have a string of gorgeous weather during the second week when some friends from our town in NJ came to stay with us for a few days--perfect timing on their part! The neighbors we met were very friendly and welcoming (with one minor exception), and although we didn't get a chance to meet Lisa, she was very responsive to any questions we had. We took full advantage of the enclosed porch for our at-home meals, and enjoyed the deck and firepit area for an evening glass of wine when the weather allowed. The cottage is cozy with very comfortable beds--all in all, a great experience!

Summary: This cozy home at the end of a quiet road was a perfect refuge after of a busy day of sightseeing. We enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening on the porch while gazing at the spectacular view. The kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfy, and each room was full of charming collectibles. The stairs might be difficult for some, although there was a view from all bedrooms. We would definitely return if we're ever in the area.

Summary: The setting of the home is very tranquil with a lot of family living space inside and out. The beach is short 4-5 minute walk. Kids loved to swim and look in the tide pools. Bring beach shoes as the beach is rocky.

Summary: This classic Main waterside cottage had a lovely view of the ocean. It was very comfortable and full of personal memorabilia that gave it a very homey lived-in feel. Meals out on the screened in porch overlooking the bay, were particularly special and enjoyable. This house is more of a vintage Main cottage, than modern, but that is what gives it its charm.

Summary: House was even cuter than in the photos! Fans throughout the house helped keep everyone cool. Views from the beach were amazing and only a short walk from the house. We loved sitting and dining on the large screened in porch, playing croquet (which the neighbors kindly shared their lawn), sitting on the stone patio around the fire pit and the mini outdoor shower. We had a wonderful time and would stay again!

Summary: If you’re looking for a cozy cottage within a short drive to all things Rockland & Owls Head this may be it! Porch dining, fire pit, rocking chairs, all with sea breezes and a long view of Rockland Harbor and the Camden Hills. Peaceful, private road dirt road for walking. Great location!

Summary: On the upside, it was very quiet and peaceful - just what we wanted. On the downside, we couldn't get internet access the majority of the time we were there, the inside stairs are downright dangerous, as was the wood stove. Since we had very cool weather and the place has such poor insulation and badly sealed, single pane windows, we were uncomfortably cold.

Summary: We all loved Lisa’s place so much! Very clean, had all the essentials, super comfy beds. Great location with friendly neighbors, great outdoor spaces, and only a quick walk to the ocean. Had a great time in the kayak! Would definitely return!

Summary: The whole process was easy and the location was beautiful. For anyone with yound kids do note the indoor steps to get upstairs are steep. Host kept the property well equipped with various art supplies, books and games!
