Positive: This hotel is run by a family who were wonderful hosts throughout our journey to Fenghuang, met us at bus station, helped get our luggage to the room. We also got a briefing introduction to Fenghuang by the host who recommended us local attractions and places to eat. Moreover, the host helped us to book tickets, which is always cumbersome when you don't have a local Chinese phone number. On a check-out day, we had a train in the evening, so the host kindly stored our luggage while we were exploring the town, helped us take a taxi (it is problematic in Fenghuang: here, only local taxis are allowed, so can't order via app) and offered water and snacks when we were leaving. Speaking of room: a great room with riverside balcony and amazing old town view. Basically we were there only for sleep because there are lots of things to see in the town! As a nice touch, there are always fruits and snacks prepared for guests in the lobby. This is surely the best host I've ever had during my trips. To sum up, amazing value for money. All recommendations and a personal thank you to Wang Jiang!

Positive: Nice and cosy hotel in a quieter part of Fenghuang, whilst still having a mesmerising view of the vivid lights of Fenghuang River at night. The hotel is located amazingly, being close to both the riverside and the Phoenix Old Town. It's a great starting point for some adventuring on foot! Big thanks to our host and his wife for their support and their part in making our stay magical.

Positive: The host was down to earth and very helpful in every way. When we arrived he grabbed our luggage for us up the stairs and into the room all the way. Before we settled down in our rooms, he gave us snacks, fruits and even brewed some tea for us to drink. He also took his time showing us on the local map to do and not to do things around the town which was super helpful. Views straight out of the room balcony was superb too.

Negative: It wasn't a problem for us but for some people it may be bit too hard to climb the stairs to the accommodation if you have knee/back/leg issues.

Summary: Excellent with superb service. Highly recommended
