4 Bedroom Cabin in Savary Island, Lund

Newly finished cabin mid island, interior Lot one one block from two beautiful beaches with starfish, sand and lots of marine life. The cabin is on a private lot with a large deck surrounded by trees and bamboo equipped with a BBQ . The interior features a loft with two bedrooms one single and one queen plus a sitting area. The main floor has a master bedroom, new kitchen and appliances, new wood burning stove and cosy living space. Next to the house is a small bunkhouse with a double and single bed that is available at an additional cost. Renters are required to bring their own sheets,towels,and tea towels,kitchen is fully equipped. please note that the toilet is an outhouse and the cabin is run of a brand new generator as this is an off grid island.

Summary: We enjoyed a beautiful week's vacation at Margaret's cabin on Savary Island. Communication with Margaret was clear and easy. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a great week's vacation. The cabin is centrally located with several beaches within close proximity on foot or bike. We hope to return!

Summary: Our family totally enjoyed our stay here. Our daughter said, 'four days of perfection'. Being surrounded by trees gave us welcome shade. It is only a short walk to the beach which is great for beach combing.

Summary: Before booking this property, I viewed previous reviews and in my opinion, anything negative that was previously mentioned (outhouse, beach not swimmable) we’re all highly exaggerated. The cabin’s pictures do not do it justice. It’s beautiful and very cozy. Three bedrooms with a living room and large fully stocked kitchen. The house had everything you would possibly need including toilet paper and dish soap. (I would still bring toilet paper to be on the safe side). The outhouse is an outhouse but very clean and I didn’t see one spider. My favourite part was the outdoor shower and proximity to Mermaid and Sutherland Beach. Mermaid Cafe is also right next store. The stars were absolutely gorgeous at night and Margret was great with communication. I may have over packed for the trip but really all you need is your food, clothes, and bedding if you prefer your own (I did). Last but not least, bring a bike because it’s a good 20 to 30 minute ride to the store with lots of hills. Thanks Margret, I would 1000% book again!!!!

Summary: First day we had nice weather. Beach not for swimming lots of crabs and Jelly Fish as well as Star Fish ! Had to watch where you stepped tons of baby crabs! Great for beach combers! Trail to the beach steep watch your step! Beds were comfortable stove was nice wood stove was good! Rained the next two days solid! So we had cabin fever! Lots of huge Spiders so if you fear them not a great place to be at ease! Didn’t like the outhouse old needs update ! I think they should install a chemical toilet would definitely up the comfort level. Lots of large spider’s in the outhouse! Shower was nice well stocked kitchen with pots pans dishes and cutlery. Host checked in with us was very nice. Loved the outdoor deck 👍🏻 Probably wouldn’t go back a bit too remote for us ! Was an experience though!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was cozy, clean and surrounded by trees. It's not luxury, but if you are looking for an off-the-grid retreat on Savary, this is a nice option.

Summary: The Island is gorgeous! Paradise! The cabin is cute and cozy, bbq is good but here is a list of what we wish we knew: There was no TP The Beer and TP at the general store are pretty far up a hilly gravel road and a bike would be necessary (can rent beside the store) The upstairs bedroom bed is super tiny, child size. The Outhouse is very very basic, unpainted, broken lamp Access to the beach is by a walk and some steep path/stairs. If you have a 4 yr old this is important to know. Would have been 5/5 with the essentials, TP, bikes, outhouse upgrade... but these few snags were the essentials! We loved the Island but wish the

Summary: Good mid island location that had easy access to several beaches. Appreciated the retention of forest surrounding the property. Well- equipped cabin with a large deck for eating meals and relaxing with books. Hot water controls are a bit finnicky as noted previously but this may simply be an adjustment on the hot water temperature. No issues ( ie. tripping hazzards) to get to the outhouse. Margaret checked in with us several times prior to arriving to ensure we had all the information we needed. Local friend also checked on us on our first day of arrival. Would definitely rent this cabin again in the future. Always love spending time on Savary. Thanks Margaret for sharing your cabin through VRBO!

Summary: The cabin was great. I would next time like a place with a flush toilet as this one was outhouse. Also, would be nice if they had dishsoap and toilet paper. Had to get my own. And a few recycle containers would also be great as we have to take all garbage and recycling off island. We had a wonderful time. Love love love Savary

Summary: Savary Island is fantastic and this small cabin in the forest is a comfortable place to stay tucked away in the trees in the middle of the island. It has most of the basics for your stay and is within sight of the main road. The mechanical systems with the generator and propane appliances can be a bit of work to sort out, but work well when there is adequate propane. The outdoor shower is private and a real treat. The outhouse, a short walk from the cabin, could use an upgrade and the path to the outhouse would benefit from removing some tripping hazards. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
