If you enjoy nature and want to experience a true gem of the Pacific Northwest, this is a wonderful place to rest your head. There is a chef's kitchen for you to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Solar panels and back-up generator supply the house, rain or shine.
The property is located in a residential neighborhood right on the bank of Hood Canal and is the perfect place for those seeking a break from busy city life. This is a quiet community, and we ask that guests respect the community's privacy and quiet hours.
This fully furnished 2 bed/2 bath waterfront house will comfortably sleep up to 6 guests (max 4 adults). The master bedroom suite on the upper floor features a king size bed, stunning water views from the balcony, and spa-like bathroom. There is also an office with a sleeper sofa. Note that there is a hallway, but no door separating the master bedroom from the office, or the upstairs level from the main floor. On the main floor you will find another bedroom with a bunk bed and another bathroom. There is also a separate sun room and laundry room. The dining room provides a comfortable space for your entire party to enjoy meals or play board games, while enjoying views of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The living room is furnished with comfortable seating, flat screen TV, and gas fireplace. The kitchen includes gas stove, refrigerator/freezer with water filter, ice maker, and soda stream, coffee station (coffee grinder and drip coffee maker; coffee beans, sugar, and creamer are provided), kettle, microwave, and toaster. Of course, there are plenty of pots and pans, utensils, and dishes.
Rain or shine, enjoy the backyard with outdoor kitchen (BBQ, refrigerator, etc.), fire pit, hot tub, and outdoor shower! Private stairs lead to the beach. Please note that beaches here are private, so please stay close to the property. This is the perfect place to watch for marine life, and it is a paradise for bird watchers!
There is excellent Wifi throughout the property.
There is onsite parking for 2 cars. Because we are on a septic system, flush only toilet paper, and please limit the amount. A Ring camera is installed near the driveway for outdoor video surveillance and security.
You are welcome to explore our private tideland (i.e., beach behind the property) and public beaches in the area, outside of the community. Please note that HOA rules and insurance limitations stipulate that community amenities (including playground, community beach, boat dock, and boat ramp) are not available to our guests. Also, exploring beyond the beach that is within our property boundaries results in trespassing on a neighbor's property and is strictly prohibited. State Parks in the area provide for better opportunities to explore and play.
We provide 2 adult and 2 youth kayaks with life vests and paddles for guest use. Please use at your own risk and consider your experience, abilities, tidal patterns and weather, knowing that it can change rapidly in Hood Canal.
This property requires a $300 security deposit. It will be collected separately by the property prior to your arrival or at check-in.

Summary: What a gem! The hosts were super responsive and attentive. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. The views of the Hood Canal are beautiful and I loved that I could launch my kayak from the end of the yard. I would love to come back here.

Summary: We were looking for a comfortable base for a trip to Olympic National Park and didn't know anything about the area. We came across this property and the description/price seemed a good fit for our family of four. We arrived late and had some challenges accessing the property, but the owner was super responsive and helpful. The Olympic Peninsula is absolutely breathtaking. We jammed in a lot during our short stay and unfortunately didn't get to spend as much time at the house which is disappointing. The house and property are fantastic. Super comfortable house and stunning location. Wish we could have spent some time paddling on the canal, but wasn't meant to be. Maybe a follow up visit we can take more advantage of what the house/property has to offer. Really enjoyed our short visit.

Summary: This was a lovely place to stay for a few days. If you want somewhere that has almost everything you need and is in a quiet and serene place, this is a wonderful place to stay. The hosts were very communicative and the pictures show the place exactly how it is. We did lots of research to find the place to stay for our vacation and we are so thankful that this house was available for our dates.

Summary: Nice, well maintained, family-friendly home on the lake with direct access to the water. What I appreciated: The views were awesome. Sitting out on the decks with my coffee and wine enjoying the views, was nice. Having direct access to the water steps away and kayaks were nice. The home was comfortable, and had all the necessities. The host communication was quick and efficient. Nice apple and pear trees too. What Could be Better: Window coverings on all windows and doors. There were two bird nest; one over main entry and one over the outdoor kitchen/ eating area which made both not usable as there was a ton of poop and no one wants to eat and cook and prepare food in those conditions. Owners stated they didn't want to remove nest while there were still baby birds in them-- There was a fruit fly problem the host made me aware of the morning of check in. They put out vinegar traps, which helped some, but the gnats were still a bit of a problem mainly in the kitchen area. issue.

Summary: This place was absolutely breathtaking! We booked this house for the last leg of our stay in Washington, and just wanted to stay at the property the entire time. My kids loved the hot tub and searching for crabs at low tide. We loved all the details of this house, so much to see while inside and outside the house. Beds were comfortable, shower immaculate and kitchen was fun to cook in. Hosts were very helpful and responsive to any questions. Highly recommended!

Summary: Our family had a such a wonderful stay at this lovely home it was hard to leave! It’s obvious that this home is special and loved by the owners and they’ve taken great care in making it comfortable, luxurious and inviting. Normally cooking feels like a chore on vacation, but I actually enjoyed cooking our meals in this VERY well outfitted kitchen. The welcome gift of snacks and wine was such a treat, and the coffee station was heaven every morning! The upstairs bath with its soaking tub and shower was such a treat at the end of a day. The outdoor space was perfect with fire pit, hot tub, outdoor eating space and fun access to the canal. Each day was difficult decide if we wanted to go off for adventures or just stay and enjoy the relaxing retreat they have created here. We are hoping we can make it back one day to enjoy it again! Thank you for sharing your special place with us!
