Beautiful luxurious waterfront cottage located on Washburn Island / Lake Scugog. Great place to fish off the dock and relax by the lake with a great view. Around 1 hour from Toronto. Includes games room, bbq, fire pit, fully equipped kitchen, bluetooth speaker, wifi, 2 TV's & more. Winter ready with central heating. Perfect for family and friends to spend time together in a space designed for relaxation and entertainment.
The water is municipal and is treated. It comes from an Artesian Well discovered on the Island about 20 years ago and is excellent drinking water. It was also tested recently by the City.

Summary: We had a wonderful time with our VRBO. Overall the property was great. The lake has very shallow areas - talk to the locals to learn where to boat to avoid weeds/rocks. There were 9 people in our party; we had more than adequate room.

Summary: This lovely lake house is very clean, spacious with many bedrooms, well furnished and on a beautiful lake. The backyard to the dock was big and good for kids to play and sit around the fire. The lake is great for boating and fishing. We had a wonderful time. Andrew was also a nice and accommodating host. We would definitely come back and recommend this place to all.

Summary: First off, we couldn’t have asked for a more accommodating host. They were super friendly, and even had a nice little gift basket waiting for us. The property itself is much larger than you’d expect, and the hot tub was awesome. Will definitely consider this unit again for any future gatherings.

Summary: We had a great stay at this beautiful water front cottage. The building is quite spacious particularly for large groups given 6 proper bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Although we chose to have a smaller than capacity group (to keep it safe with Covid), we certainly enjoyed the amenities and the luxury of two kitchens. It lets you store plenty of food and use two full kitchens whenever needed (two ovens was great for cooking pizzas!). The host was extremely friendly, thorough, and generous with add-on’s here and there. I particularly liked the well taken care of hot tub. The testing tools and chemicals were ready for you to apply even during same stay and after each use. Very hygienic! We enjoyed the summer stay and the bonus was the plenty of fireworks done by the neighbors - this is a very friendly and authentic part of Kawartha Lakes, with cottagers who know how to maximize a summer stay. Thank you for giving us this wonderful Canada Day weekend and we hope to return again! P.S. as a certified Yoga instructor I think this is a great location for small yoga and meditation retreats. Consider that too!
