Summary: Pros: House is lovely, cozy and warm. Location and ship watching were fantastic. Yard was perfect for our Lab to run, explore and exercise. Cons: No shower, oversized tub with a sprayer, was awkward for bathing. Only TV was set up in a bedroom w/2 double beds, so no space for multiple guests to relax and watch a movie/show. Automatic scent machine was overpowering. An extra key(s) would be handy, as I almost locked myself out via the slider. Overall, we had a great time enjoying the Island and City.

Summary: Enjoyed a wonderful relaxing weekend with my dog and niece, who is doing an internship at Laval University. Was a perfect place for her to get away from the city and out of her dorm. Lovely island to explore shops and great restaurants. Ample accommodation with 2 bedrooms, great back deck. Well-equipped kitchen. Very responsive host when I had questions. Nice back yard for my dog to run. View of the St. Lawrence is lovely but I would not describe it as being close to a "beach" - it's a marsh.

Summary: This house is recently renovated and is in excellent condition; it is very clean and comfortable with a well furnished kitchen. The view of the river is somewhat closer than it appeared in the VRBO pictures we saw; it takes less than a minute to walk to it. We loved sitting on the deck to relax with that view. The room layout had a small but very good change that was not in the original pictures that we saw when we reserved it- the large TV is now on a table across from the two beds in one bedroom, and the dining table was smaller but still a good size, leaving more room in that area. It was comfortable for one or both of us to watch TV with that setup. The location on l'Ile d'Orleans is also very good. We liked the town of St-Laurent and nearby towns for their arts and crafts and food shopping, as well as the nearby good restaurants including Le Moulin de St-Laurent which took only a couple of minutes to drive to. We also went to Old Quebec City and it typically took us only 25 minutes to get there and to park. But do also tour the l'Ile d'Orleans as it is a lovely island with many beautiful views, delicious foods, vineyards, and arts and crafts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
