Summary: Coming from Texas, i rented this cabin on the water. And was expecting that. I should of been notified that the Dam was being repaired and the lake was empty.The shower was clogged and slowly drained and

Summary: The main reason we selected this property was the lake. Thats the cover picture for this place and a lot of photos touch on it. Its even called the lakefornt cottage, i believe. That is the only reason we selected this place. Much to our dismay, when we arrived inthe lake. We are from Texas so if this happens every winter, we have no idea. We wish the host would have told us this as we had planned activities around the lake. The water also smelled like metal when I showered or washed my hands. I read that th this happens in NH with the water and means the ststem needs a cleaning or something. I also read this was not a health hazard so thst made me feel better. Someone had posted previously of the cottage smelling musty or moldy. I have a great sense of smell and i could smell it but didnt say anything to my damily. My husband later commented saying he smelled it so for him to smell it too with his bad allergies means something. Other than this the cottage is well updated and i believe with a little maintaince it has a lot of potentional. Oh, and the cleaning staff may want to slow down on how quickly they wash the dishes. We found a few forks with food stuck to them. We would stay again if theres water in the lake. tlake.

Summary: The rental was clean and had the perfect location. I love the lake in the back with the kayaks and the fire pit. This rental is about 40 minutes from Boston and 40 minutes to an hour from Salem depending on traffic. Around 2 and a half hours from the white mountains. Cons: I wish there was a washing machine and dryer on property, would have made it easier for me since I have a baby that is spitting up all over his clothes. I wish they had a play-yard available for those traveling with a baby, I had to put him on the bed with me

Summary: The location was wonderful for our long weekend for our daughter's wedding nearby. We enjoyed the kayaks, sitting outside and watching all the birds. The kitchen had everything we needed. We could have used more bedding as there wasn't anyadditional blankets under the sofa bed. We would stay here again.

Summary: The place was beautiful and clean and so gorgeous and peaceful. If im ever in the area again will definitely be staying again. Only an hour away from Boston and Salem MA. Was able to make the most of our stay. Absolutely worth it.

Summary: Our family of 5 came to the cottage this summer to enjoy a relaxing week by the water and enjoy the local attractions. My kids loved the paddle boards, kayaks, and just swimming in the lake. The house was perfect size, queen size bed in one room, bunk beds in one room and a comfortable pull-out couch in a separate room. There were lots of games, books, and a large Smart TV. The kitchen was well-equipped and had a Keurig coffee machine. There was a great grocery store and rail trails for running/biking. The owner was super responsive, helpful, and accommodating. We would definitely stay again in future summers!
