Summary: Little house on the water with fishing right off the deck. Food is close and nice views. Trains go by in other side of river, but no whistles and it ends up being soothing.

Summary: I will try to be as fair as I can here with our review. The house is absolutely gorgeous sitting on a no wake zone of the beaver river. We had previously taken 3 trips to the marina without too much problems. The owners always seemed to have a little anxiety with us launching on their ramp. The first trip was a day trip that we gladly paid the $50 transient dock fee and was told that they let me "slide" by using their ramp. 2nd visit was an overnight trip that once again, we gladly paid the transient fee. 3rd trip, we launched down river, gladly spent $50 for a transient slip, just to pick up friends. (Probably spent 2 1/2 hours in a slip. Skip to this past weekend, we rented this place(literally a floating dock) and was told after we got there it would be an additional $200 for a dock slip? I've rented a lot of lake houses over the years, and quite a few campgrounds on the water. They've been called courtesy slips? Could have been forewarned, or added into the cost. Not our personality at all, but ended in a heated fight and we left. So.... nice place, but we wont be back.

Summary: Need to getaway? Whether you’re a local or a out of town-er, the cottages at River Harbor are the perfect place to float your cares away! We found our cottage to be very clean and had all that we needed for a relaxing getaway. Did I mention that they are on the river!!! Floating on the river to be exact! What a perfect place! There are several restaurants within walking distance. It’s dreamy. We sat in the floating deck and took in the sights…boats passing and trains. A really neat experience. Our host Patricia was friendly, easy to communicate with and accommodating. We plan to return one day.
