This lakefront house with a large sandy beach is where new family traditions begin. Owner built in the early 1960s by a Summerville native for his family of five children, this spacious home retains a vintage charm and relaxed feel that will make your family feel right at home.
This five-bedroom home sleeps 16 and features an open-concept kitchen, dining area, and den with a wall of windows that command a wonderful view of the lake. Perfect for family vacations or reunions, your friends and family will have their choice of sleeping arrangements--3 upstairs bedrooms have double, queen and king beds, the upstairs enclosed sleeping porch has a set of bunk beds with a full sized futon, and the downstairs bunk room has three sets of bunk beds. Additionally, the living room has a full sized futon. This home features one bath with tub/shower combo upstairs and two baths with spacious stall showers downstairs, which are perfect to quickly clean up after a day of sand, sun, and fun times in the lake.
Enjoy beautiful sunsets at the end of a newly replaced private dock with built-in seating, from the oversized, furnished screen porch, or with your toes in the sand at lakeside. Host large family meals either upstairs at the dining tables that seat 12 or at the 20-person hand-built picnic table in the downstairs rec room, which also features three walls of windows overlooking the lake and surrounding yard, and has a casual seating area, ping-pong table, second refrigerator, and space to set up a buffet. The flat, grassy yard that transitions to sand and lake pebbles at the waterfront provides multiple options for lake-front seating in either an assortment of available lawn chairs, at the outside picnic table, or waterfront table and benches. Because Lake Moultrie is man-made, its flat, sandy bottom provides easy, kid-friendly entry to play in shallow water or to swim out. Bring your boat and use our new private boat landing. Summary: Waking up and drinking coffee on the screened in porch while listening to the waves crash on the shore was awesome. We enjoyed being able to swim and enjoy the dock by ourselves. We caught lots a small panfish and a big catfish. This house was everything we needed to get away and relax. We really enjoyed our stay.

Summary: We were in Monck Corner for an event in the town. This location is about 5 miles away, but was a good locating n for us. Weather was very cold for March. Furnishings are somewhat dated, but very functional. The description says three master bedrooms up stairs which is misleading As none of the bedrooms has a bathroom, all here bedrooms Shaw 1 bathroom. The other two bathrooms in the house are on the lower level. The main floor of the house requires going up an outdoor staircase, which was difficult For older adults. If the initial description said that we had to bring our own sheets and towels, we missed that, but did get the information from the owner prior to coming down. We have stayed at several VRBO properties, this is the first time we have had to bring our own sheets and towels.

Summary: We drive down from Ohio to SC to fish every October , we have stayed at 4 different places in 4 years and we found a keeper with this house. We arrived on Wednesday afternoon right before the hurricane made its way north. We caught 14 fish off the dock that night. Our charter boats canceled on Thursday due to the winds from the hurricane that moved north of us. We went out on the dock in 20+ mph sustained winds and caught 40 + fish including a 40 pounder 2 over 30 pounds and several 15 to 20 pounders. We then fished with our charter boats Friday an Saturday and caught another 100 fish. Man the cat fishing there is awesome. The house was great, the neighborhood is quite and the fishing is unreal.

Summary: We loved this place! The setup is great for large families, as it realistically has 13 beds. The kids took over the room with the Bunk Beds, so that room worked perfectly for us. Kitchen has everything you will ever need to cook meals. The 2 Fridge's are amazing - and you will find yourself using every square inch of both if you are there for a week or longer. Love the 2 bathrooms downstairs, and the fact that everything has concrete floors on the ground level, so no worry of kids coming in and out from the lake. Makes for easy cleanup! The dock is brand new, the kids loved jumping off (no diving) and fishing from it. Overall, this house worked perfect for our family - plenty of space, plenty of beds, and the view!! Well maintained Boat ramp only 3 lots down made putting the boat in and out a breeze! Can't ask for much more on the lake...

Summary: We stayed in May 2018 at the Camp Korn home and had the best family reunion. We have family in the area and 14 of us traveled to stay close by to reunite. It was an excellent location with space for everyone with a dock and beach on gorgeous Lake Moultrie. The house is well appointed with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Bringing our own linens was no problem and the beds were very good and the kids had no problem with the bunks. We put a blow up mattress on the futon for an adult and it was like another bedroom. The house is comfortable and well-lived in but perfect for us. We all want to return and look forward to another visit. Thank you Carlotta for everything and hope to visit again.
