Summary: We had the best time staying here while on the island for a wedding. The cottage was the perfect size for two couples and while we weren’t there much, we enjoyed waking up to coffee overlooking the lake and watching the sun set over the water

Summary: This home is on a little gem of a sand spit between the sound and a lagoon. The deck is right over the water at high tide and at low tide you can watch the clams spit water and the crabs scurry. The otters are fun to watch too! It also has a lovely view of Mt Ranier on clear days. We loved the use of a canoe and row boat to get out onto the water. It is within walking distance to a park where you can dip your toes in the sound and listen to the waves. As for the house itself, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was large. The kitchen had everything we needed for quick breakfasts and making sandwiches. We didn't cook dinner. Some of the dishes and silverware were dirty, but they give you plenty of dishwasher tablets and liquid. The beds were very comfortable and the comforter was cozy. They offered plenty of clean towels. Everything you need for a great time is provided. The only thing keeping us from a 5 star review is that the living room isnt very comfortable. The sofas are very worn, a bit dirty (especially between cushions), and not very comfortable. I wouldn't feel comfortable curling up with book in the living room. However, we were lucky to have great weather, so I just spent time enjoying the lovely location. Thank you for a lovely week!

Summary: First off, it wasn't all bad. The location and the view were great. Here's where we had problems: 1) It wasn't fully cleaned when we arrived. Bathroom mirror was dirty, crumbs on the counter, dirty smudges on the doors... and it didn't seem like it had been deep cleaned in a long time. 2) The heaters in the bathroom and the laundry room didn't work 100% of the time. The bathroom light would flicker and it took a bit for it to stay on. 3) The kitchen wasn't well stocked either. The biggest problem we had was that our 5 year old accidently locked us out of one of the bedrooms. It was 6pm when this happened and I texted the contact number right away. It took until 2:30pm the NEXT DAY for the local office to get back to us to see if we were able to get into the room. Luckily, we were able to get the door lock picked ourselves, but the wait time was ridiculous. Because of these reasons, we don't think we'll be renting again with Vacasa.
