Summary: Really awesome home, great for a group of friends or family. Easy walk to beach. Leaping Llama coffee shop (highly recommend), convenience store with everything from sunglasses to craft beers, and The Wharf seafood restaurant just a few doors down and multiple bars/restaurants a quick Uber ride away. Take advantage of the fat tire bikes and stand up paddle boards that come with the place. Can paddle right off the back dock and we saw a manatee just a few feet from us and plenty of other wildlife including the protected pelican habitat up towards the Don Cesar (but watch out for the wind coming back). Fully functional kitchen for those who want to cook in. The pool is really just a soaker, so don’t expect to do any laps, but was great to dip in and cool off. The only downer for the place was the host/owner who barely responded to attempts to communicate until the day of check in. Had to contact VRBO to get an adequate response from him and then he was very rude and defensive about it when we actually met. Most VRBO places that I’ve been to have had an orientation booklet for how the house works, wifi connection, entertainment center, tips on local commerce, what is expected at checkout, etc. Not here, which required more rude communications with the host. Bottom line if you’re thick-skinned enough to deal with a guy like that it’s otherwise a 5-star place.

Summary: We were very happy with the house and the area had everything we needed. We spent some time exploring the other area beaches and shops too. We had a great time. Owner was fantastic!

Summary: Our entire family found the home to be very comfortable alongside the Intercoastal and close walking proximity to the beach. The location was fantastic - two restaurants nearby and a convenience store across the street. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving Holiday very much.

Summary: This house is good for people on the younger side as there is only one room on the second floor which is really the main floor of the house where the kitchen is located, the rest of the rooms are on the upstairs which where all good except the bathrooms need a little touch up with lighting and shower accessories. So if you are traveling with elderly people you may have to keep that in mind going up and down the stairs. The garage and pool area was great except for the fact that any music or conversations must be kept down to a minimum the area where the house is rented is a very quiet place. The best overall thing this place has is the fact that the beach is across the street two blocks and it’s a great beach. Overall an ok experience for a week long stay.

Summary: Celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with our 3 adult children and their spouses, 8 total. Beautiful spacious home with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Had a rooftop and a pool (which we used a lot). Literally steps away from 2 bars/restaurants on the water and blocks away from the beach entrance with a tiki-hut food and drink stand and more restaurants. Perfect location and home for my family. Minutes from St Petes beach but don't need to go there as Passe Grille has everyhing you need

Summary: Great stay. The place is more spectacular than advertised. Everything you could need for an extended stay was at your fingertips. Already planning our return trip for next year.

Summary: Great Location. Property provides great experience for a variety of ages and interests. Our beach lovers had easy access to beach and our fishers had dock right on property. Spacious rooms and great views. John was very helpful and responsive throughout the week.

Summary: This property no longer looks as represented online. There is no ping pong table, art work is missing, smoke detectors are gone with wires hanging where they once were, some furniture has been changed, there was a missing bedside lamp in the MB, and many lightbulbs are simply blown out. There was a “missing” house cat when we arrived & the owner told us to contact him if we found it so he could come to get it. Found it in a closet that night! It’s a sweet inside/outdoor pet who we fed & watered bc bowls were in the kitchen for it & food found. He meowed loudly (2 am) wanting affection, which we attempted to give! The owner (despite repeated texts that he would come by) never came for the cat, instead saying he is a neighborhood stray. THERE IS NO LITTER BOX! The cat is sweet but didn’t always want to go out, so he pooped on the kitchen floor! If you are allergic to cats, don’t like the smell of them- don’t rent this house. Next, water was turned off for non- payment on day 2. I called the county water dept. & was told the homeowner had not paid despite the bill being overdue by 25 days. Owner did not respond to my call or text & had to go through VRBO to get it paid and H2O turned on later that day. The refrigerator did not work the entire week we rented, despite my texting the owner several times. The main fridge was running at 56 degrees after turning it down to 34. Could not leave any truly perishable foods in it. The location is great, the house is large, but is being neglected. The fan outside the master bedroom porch is broken, There’s a mattress on the floor of the MB closet. Extra pillows & cases were not easily located & had to be scavenged from unused rooms (we mostly used 3 of the bedrooms). On the whole it was hugely disappointing. The cost was exorbitant for what we actually got. It is not a luxury house other than granite & high end appliances in the kitchen (one of which didn’t work!). IMO it was not worth what we paid. Also, fair warning VRBO will not assist you at all in terms of any compensation for non working items and misrepresentation. I was told to contact the property owner directly, who already had my payment & deposit. The owner is going through a divorce and is having financial problems that I won’t disclose but I discovered when I googled his name. I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. The beach is beautiful, the bay is lovely, but the owner was unresponsive to requests for necessary fixes.
