Summary: Things we really liked: -Well stocked - plenty of blankets, towels, sheets and pillowcases, as well as laundry pods, plastic wrap, extra toilet paper, garbage bags, etc. We pack extras because property owners can be stingy. Not here! They even labeled all the kitchen drawers so things were easier to find. -Great yard! We enjoyed the bonfire pit, hammocks and pergola. There was also a playground and treehouse. The lights lining the yard were a nice touch. -The beach! Lots of private beach frontage and quiet neighbors. It's a rocky part of Lake Huron though, so water shoes are a MUST! -Plenty of fans and A/C units. We were worried about no central air, but it wasn't a problem. There are A/C units in every bedroom and the main living space, plus extra fans. My bedroom was frigid. Some areas of opportunity: -BUGS. We expect bugs in an area like this but there was an excessive amount getting into the kitchen in the evening. We weren't leaving the doors or windows open. -Yard needs a cleaning. Many spiderwebs on the playground, tree house and pergola. It would be good to have the cleaners take a leaf blower to these items so they're ready for guest use. Didn't love my toddler getting covered in cobwebs. -Stairs to beach are steep. Not anything the owner can fix, but be aware. It can be tough for people with mobility issues or kids. Overall, this is a great house for a big group. The house is older and it's not well decorated, but the beach and yard certainly make up for it.

Summary: house was in a great location, pictures definitely show the rooms a little bigger than they are, but the location and the outdoor amenities is what you are renting this property for and they are great. beach access is easy with stairs in excellent condition, the beach is sandy and soft (definitely need water shoes to get in the water where it gets little rocky). Host was very kind and easy to communicate with once we reached her directly (do not try to contact "EVOLVE"). The only drawback to the property was the AC unit situation, the upstairs got way too hot and the one portable AC unit not sufficient to cool down the entire upstairs after a mid to high 80's day. partially our fault for booking a house wo a central AC, had to leave night early to avoid the hot night.

Summary: The house needs some work done. It is spacious and layout is good for large groups. It dose not have central AC and the single units are not enough. The outside is just breathtaking, epic sunrise, clean beach, clear lake and the day ends by the fire pit !
