Positive: We love the canal views and such a lovely and clean house. Great communication between host and us. The house is ideally located in Mandurah. We visit yearly and love coming to stay at Waterside canal house. Will definitely be back next year.

Positive: Beautiful views from many parts of the house. Well equipped kitchen with a rice cooker Well equipped entertainment system including Wii for the children Crabbing equipment and kayaks for some fun right outside. Swift response from the owner when called upon.
Negative: Water heater. Needs to be mindful as it takes time to heat up the water if someone in the family showered for too long. It's my second stay here. Will definitely come back again . But the house is getting very popular...

Positive: We had a wonderful stay at the Water Canal Riverside Homestay. The house was very comfortable and perfect for a family getaway—spacious, clean, and felt just like home. One of the highlights was how well-equipped the house was—complete with kitchenware, kitchenette, laundry facilities, BBQ pit, kayaks, crab nets, fishing gear, and even parking for a boat. Everything we needed was available, which made our stay very convenient and enjoyable. The location is peaceful and scenic, right beside the river with direct access to the water, making it perfect for both relaxation and water activities. It’s also very close to Mandurah town, so getting supplies, food, or visiting local attractions was easy.
Negative: However, one thing to note is that there was an additional charge for linen and towels, and I was required to pay AU$210, which I feel should have been more clearly stated upfront.
Summary: Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would still recommend this homestay for families or groups lo
