Positive: Within walking distance of Ambleside but much quieter. Pub just a short walk away and an amazing shop in the Village. Beautiful location

Positive: Loved the location, the cottage was well equipped, bedrooms were of a good size as was the bathroom.
Negative: The cottage could do with doing up especially in the living room. The two sofas were not very clean and were quite grubby!! as were the rugs. The television was on the small side.
Summary: We had a relaxing stay.

Positive: Comfortable and clean cottage in a great lake district location with superb walks on the doorstep. We didn't move the car all weekend. Heaven!
Negative: The heating didn't come on when expected and there was no way to control the time. It was a cold weekend in April, near zero at night so cold in the morning when getting up.
Summary: Nice cottage in a great lake district village.

Positive: Loved the fact a shop is close by and also a fairly regular bus if you want to walk and bus rather than drive walk and drive.
Negative: Just be aware parking during the day can be hard. Not a problem for us because we didn't use the car after we'd arrived.

Positive: Location is absolutely perfect for hiking and exploring the Lake District. A very nice pub just around the corner with great food. The cottage is charming, old with a nice little garden and nice view. The kitchen was good.
Negative: The downstairs area could use an update, with some new furniture. Also, it was not very clean. Some pots and pans still had spots and the bathroom could be cleaner too.
Summary: Great location, very charming place.

Positive: The location is fantastic and the views from the cottage are beautiful. Lots of fab walks right on the door step. Easy check-in/out process.
Negative: Unfortunately I wasn’t pleased with the cleanliness of the cottage. All cups/plates etc. we’re dirty upon our arrival, some still wet and not washed properly. There was no dish soap available so we had to put everything through the dishwasher before it could be used. The sofas and rugs in the living room were very (viability) filthy and not comfortable to sit on. There is no radio and the batteries in the tiny TV were flat so we were sat in silence in the evenings. There was dog hairs all over the cottage and sadly all over the pillows and beds which was off putting. The cottage hadn’t been cleaned to a high standard before our arrival, the sink upstairs in particular was disgusting with other people’s hair stuck to the surface. We were disappointed that there was only 1 roll of toilet roll, no hand soap and no dish soap - in our view these should be provided for basic hygiene.
Summary: wonderful location but needs a deep clean
