3 Bedroom Cottage in Chetek

Recently remodeled, this cottage offers up to six guests the vacation they been looking for. Sitting on Praire Lake, you are also connected to the rest of the chain of lakes. Not only is the fishing good, but you have access to sandy bottoms for swimming. There are several sports bars around the chain that have great food and often live entertainment . You can also take in the Hydroflights during the summer in which people come from all around to see trick water-skiing and large pyramids. Thousands come over the 4th of July known as the Liberty fest to take in local parades, live entertainment , and one of the best fireworks exhibits in many parts. There are local golf courses along with a drive in movie theater within 10 minutes. A 10 minute drive to town will also get all the grocery's you need for the week. This cottage includes refrigerator/freezer, oven, microwave and a large flat screen for movie night. There is also a washer and dryer. Wi-Fi recently added along with streaming various TV channels. . Towels, linens, etc, and cookware and plates are included. We also have a gas grill. For those hot days we have central AC which keeps this cabin very comfortable. I will have a fire pit but you must purchase local firewood which is found all around town. The pontoon is no longer available. Sunnyside marina and Chetek Marina will rent them out. You are welcome to tie the pontoon to my dock.

Summary: It was a real pleasure staying at this wonderful property. All of the amenities were great and just as described. The owner/host was quick to respond and very friendly. We stayed on a hot weekend and the air conditioner worked great. The views of the lake were glorious, We will stay here again when in the area and recommend highly.

Summary: Imagine looking out the window every morning of your stay and seeing nature at its finest.like I titled this review “ Peaceful Easy Feeling “ that’s what you will feel staying at this place. We are repeat customers and I’m considering coming back next year too. The home is clean and comfortable! We cooked most of our meals in the well furnished kitchen. The rooms / beds were comfortable and there is plenty of room to store all your stuff. Ok let’s talk about the Lake, outstanding! That little area by the dock was used every day ! The fishing wasn’t as good as it was last year but we still caught some really nice sized sunfish and a couple of perch. The owner Shaun is a great guy ! So friendly and kind.He will check in with you by text to see if you’re okay. We lost power when a short but powerful storm blew in and Shaun was quick to text to see if we were okay and gave us an update to when the power was to be restored. What is very promising about this place is I’ve seen some updates from our 1st visit, which tells me the owners are still investing money to keep this place as great as it is. Oh , Shaun will ask you for suggestions about any improvements that would make your stay better, I think that’s important. We loved staying here !

Summary: There are 5 outdoor seating areas, permitting us to follow or hide from the sun and breezes as we desired. Very pleasant! The beds and linens were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. It was great to have a dock for our rented fishing boat. On the minus side, the interior and exterior could have been cleaner. For example, cushions for the outdoor sectional were piled in the garage, dirty and covered with spider nests. The cabinet and drawer space in the kitchen were completely full, meaning no room to put away our groceries, etc until I did a lot of consolidating and relocating items we didn’t need. The lakes are renown for crappie fishing, but our bass fisherman were quite disappointed to find out the area lakes are not as good for bass as we expected.

Summary: We had a great time here. Plenty of space for two couples, kitchen fairly well stocked- we are folks who enjoy cooking so having a variety of serving bowls, and wine classes would have been helpful. We had on and off fishing luck, when they did hit the fishing cleaning area in the garage was perfect. We played ladders and bean bag toss everyday so that was well received. There is a water warning as to nitrates well posted…be sure to bring bottled water. Very nice grocery store in Chetek. We enjoyed morning coffee and a couple of dinners on the deck and made use of the fire pit. Highly recommend for those who enjoy fishing. We also brought our own boat and enjoyed dinner at Gillian’s one night.

Summary: the only reason i didn't give 5 stars on listing accuracy is because some of the better spots in the house were not shown in any pictures for the listing! Also listing says theres only dvds but they do have streaming services (fire tv stick) available on the big tv in a downstairs room that is not shown in any pictures :) Also there is a fridge for use for drinks in the garage and a seperate freezer in the garage for fish guts etc. All good and positive things that u may not know before u show up :) We had a great week ty for letting us borrow ur cabin
