Our beautiful Amish built log home is located in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. Your activities list is endless. You are just a short drive to Ludington and/or Manistee, each of which offer a variety of of restaurants, gorgeous beaches along the Lake Michigan shore or shopping both at big box stores and quaint small-town shops. While here, you are only a few steps from the glow of a bonfire and the relaxing sound and beautiful view of the Big Sable River.

Summary: The guys really enjoyed this trip. Four were from out of state and got to experience a MI summer. We really enjoyed how the owner delivered a truck load of wood for a decent price verses buying a small bundle from the side of the road.

Summary: We had a great time staying in this relaxing cabin right on the river! It is located in a very secluded area but also only about 30 minutes away from tourist locations such as Ludington and Manistee. The cabin itself was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay and the hosts were great with communication.

Summary: The stay was amazing. The place has everything you need and is close to many fishing spots. The fire pit next to the river is a huge bonus and star gazing at night was breathtaking!

Summary: All by yourself.... yes off main highway but thats ok. No close neighbors. Just a clean n easy stay. Owner got me firewood dlv'd and stacked and kids had a blast in the river. Even had apple trees.. kids ate a ton.... AC/TV/good flushing toliet LOL.... place was perfect. 25 min from ludington beach

Summary: We booked a short trip in July and the cabin was perfect for our needs.We were able to drive about 20mins to several different fishing spots. We could even entertain the kids fishing right in the yard as we grilled dinner. The beds were comfy and we loved have 3 bedrooms ! Guest were great in communicating. Even the dogs had a good time!

Summary: This was a magical location - we felt like we were on our own movie set! The river was so peaceful, and it felt like it was there just for us. The house is very nice, the log cabin decor was perfect. Dave and Beth took great care of us while we were there.

Summary: You never know the weather early Spring and we had fresh 8” snowfall. It was beautiful! I brought my snowshoes. Trails are a few miles away but we didn’t even go there because the grounds were so beautiful. The cabin is beautiful real log cabin. It’s next to a running river which sounded wonderful. Our son stopped in to visit and brought his fishing poles. We didn’t catch anything unfortunately but enjoyed trying! Very relaxing! We drove to Ludington for dinner at Stix a night. We didn’t have Verizon cell service at the cabin but it didn’t matter because WiFi worked so we were able to text and FaceTime. Overall, great weekend!
