3 Bedroom Cabin in Fletcher

Located on the south slope of Burney Mountain in the beautiful Mountains of North Carolina, the Chalet at Winghaven is a spacious, sunny log home, built in 2014.
Close to Asheville (twelve miles to downtown) and all its attractions, the Chalet is surrounded by 38 acres of picturesque hardwood forest. Wild turkeys rustle the fallen leaves in winter and lead their young in spring. An abundance of birds and other wildlife can be spotted from the sunny porches and a large south facing deck.
Amazingly this natural oasis is hiking distance from the local pizza place and the closest large grocery store is less than four miles away!
Open the sliding glass door of the spacious MASTER SUITE to enjoy the mountain air or relax with a glass of wine on the covered porch.
Sleeping in the LOFT BEDROOM with its own private full bathroom feels like being away from it all, up in the trees.
Guests of all ages enjoy the BUNK ROOM which is adjacent to another full bathroom which features a washer and dryer.
The open kitchen /dining / living space with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams is bright and airy during the day and cozy at night with a fire in the Danish wood stove.
Outdoor amenities include two covered porches, a deck, a gas grill and a fire pit perfect for making s'mores.
The Chalet is a convenient home base for the multitude of activities our area has to offer: Visit the Biltmore Estate ( 11miles), Downtown Asheville (12 miles), Historic Hendersonville (14 miles), go tubing or kayaking on the French Broad River, zip lining, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, hike a different trail every day or see five magnificent waterfalls in just one day. There are wine tastings, beer tours, music and dance performances to attend and fabulous restaurants to try. Biking is a favorite sport here be it on the road or on mountain trails. We are more than happy to help you with planning your vacation so please talk to us and let us know what you are interested in.
Of course the Chalet is also an awesome place to just relax, enjoy the sun shining through the leaves, the peace of the forest and the starlit nights.
Please note that the Chalet is accessed by a private gravel road but 4-wheel drive is usually not necessary. We are happy to talk to you about the road if you are not familiar with driving in the mountains!

Summary: We stayed here for a local wedding. The home was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The road was talked about a lot in the reviews but once driven it wasn’t a concern. The area was charming and very close to the city. Highly recommended.

Summary: Our hosts and their cabin were simply incredible. The home had everything a family needs: pack and play, baby gate, highchair, booster seat, toys, books, ganes, dolls, even a dollhouse! My daughter didnt even need to pack their baby monitor or sound machine! Just incredible! There was plenty to do around town: the Biltmore, Omni with their gingerbread houses and car show, restaurants, play places... We all highly recommend this home away from home!

Summary: Wildlife to see on this property, so exciting to see 3 Bears hanging in the trees, and deer each morning as we ascended down the long driveway. Kids loved it.

Summary: Time of stay: July of ‘24. Our experience at the Chalet differs from other reviews. We expected to have mountain views based on the pictures posted. Since we visited in summer and not winter (when the mountain view pictures were taken) we saw a forest. We arrived late Monday, check in was a breeze. Our 2 young sons ran around in awe of the cabin. We noticed insect activity that evening, some spiders and ants, but turned in for the night. On Tuesday morning in the kitchen and bathrooms there were varying insects. To be fair, I texted the host and within minutes received a reply that contained an offer to have the house sprayed. We decided against this as the insects were not confined to one area and did not want to come back to the smell of chemicals after a day out. We continued our stay, but we were not comfortable in the home with all the insect activity. We decided to leave 2 days early. I messaged the host and to their credit, even though we did not ask for nor expect a refund, they refunded us for the remaining 2 nights of our reservation. Here is what I would say if you’re staying in the summer, as long as you’re expecting to be in a tree house and glamping in nature this is the spot for you! The cabin is beautiful, in a great location and secluded. Again, it’s all about your expectations.

Summary: Clean and comfortable. A short drive to Asheville, Hendersonville, or Flat Rock. Entrance road was a little rough but had no problems, thankful we didn’t meet anyone, there were places where cars could pass, many places 1 lane through.

Summary: This is a well maintained, modern cabin in a secluded/quiet location. We had a very relaxed 3 night stay and went into Ashville a couple of times for dinner/shopping.

Summary: Wonderful, clean, relaxing and secluded cabin. This place was perfect for our stay, we felt close to everything but also very secluded when we wanted to relax. We had our young child with us and they provided excellent amenities like a baby gate, portable crib and high chair, that made our trip easy! There was also plenty of room for our family and friends to come gather and share a meal. Loved the porch! We would definitely stay here again!
