The house was refurbished to a very high standard in 2016 and has been maintained and updated as needed. We have hosted many happy guests since then.
Having spent lots of frustrated self catering holidays wondering how to cook a meal for the family on one gas ring in a small frying pan with no utensils we have ensured you have everything you might need in our well equipped kitchen.
Tucked away in a quiet spot on the edge of the medieval circulade village of Murviel les Beziers, our spacious and comfortable holiday home puts you within easy reach of the sea, mountains or lakes, not to mention the surrounding vineyards. With four bedrooms (1 king, 2 double and 1 twin) and two stylish Italian shower rooms we can accommodate 8 guests (travel cot also available on request). The rooms all have reversible air units (AC in the summer and warm air in the winter) as well as a wood burning stove in the living area for out of summer season stays.
The living area is totally open plan. The fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, electric fan oven, dishwasher, washing machine, high spec microwave and American style fridge freezer opens into the spacious vaulted ceiling living room and dining room. With ample seating, 50” smart TV, Blue Ray DVD player, cd/radio and of course WIFI internet connection.
Our large (10 meters x 5 meters) pool is surrounded by lounging areas and landscaped Mediterranean gardens. The outside living area has a toilet, shower and kitchen/living area with BBQ, hot/cold water, all important drinks fridge, and ample work surfaces which gives you the option to prepare your meals al fresco.
There is another BBQ by the main house kitchen, giving you lots of catering options.
A few minutes walk into the village center for bakeries (3 in all with one also being a cafe and restaurant ) butcher, bar / restaurants and pizzerias, hairdressers etc. A fresh fish/seafood van comes on Friday for your moules and oysters from the nearby Etang de Thau. Wednesdays there is a small market with charcuterie and fresh local produce. There is a large brand new Lidl supermarket in the village (with electric car charging facilities) which you can walk to or it is a further 2 minutes drive to a large Super U. Various other large supermarkets are within 10 minutes drive.
The local wine cooperative is a two minute walk away and the delightful wines can be purchased by the bottle or the liter! There are two further vineyards in the village offering tasting, and at least one in every village you drive through. It’s 15 minutes to the charming village of St Chinian, which gives it’s name to the regions DOP wines.
You can be at the beach in 25 minutes, swim in the river Orb in 5, or hire a Kayak in 15. There is a golf course in Beziers or Lamalu (15 minutes away) and of course exploring Beziers and Narbonne (where you can hire a boat for the day and poodle along the Canal de Midi, or browse the art galleries and antique shops in historical Pezenas. All less than 30 minutes away. For further exploring, Carcasonne is an absolute must. Take the back roads through some quaint French villages, and stop off for a wine tasting or two on the way!
Alternatively, kick back and just relax - there is plenty of room for everyone to find a quiet spot to read, snooze or whatever takes your fancy.

Summary: Lovely villa. Big pool and had everything we needed including pool floats. Definitely would recommend a car. We used the bus. Very reliable but not frequent.

Summary: A very relaxing week's stay in a really lovely property. The house was very well equipped, facilities were great. The house is in a pleasant little village, 5 mins to any amenities one might need (gas station, supermarket, pharmacy etc). Recommend Carte Timbrée in the neighbouring village for nice meal out. Final point to make - the hosts / owners couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating with our last minute booking. Highly recommend!

Summary: This region of France is absolutely stunning, we chose this house to use as a base to get to the coast as well other beautiful towns such as Carcassonne and Beziers. The house was well equipped and comfortable. The pool was absolutely perfect and we made full use of it for the 2 weeks we spent here. The owner Lesley couldn’t have been more helpful, and really quick to respond and answer any questions we had, as well as recommend some great places to visit. We loved our stay and would definitely come again.

Summary: We (5 of us, mum, dad and 3 kids aged 9, 11 and 19) had the best two weeks holiday. Wonderful villa, the photo's don't do the property justice. The villa had everything that we needed, a really well equipped kitchen, perfect open plan layout and large airconditioned bedrooms. The shutters on all windows are brilliant and guarantee the best nights sleep. The huge pool was a massive hit for everyone. The property could easily cope with two families (8 people). The area is stunning, villa nestled in a small village (the local Lidl, 4 min drive, was very convenient as was the pharmacy opposite Lidl) surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards, you have the perfect mix of a rural and urban feel. Locals are very friendly. Beach, Valras Plage, only 25 min drive away is touristy but still very nice, we visited multiple times. Kayaking down the Orb is a must as is a bit of wild swimming in the river. Owners are very friendly and quick to respond to all communication. Will definitely return!

Summary: The house felt like a warm, family home rather than just a holiday villa and is in a peaceful location within walking distance of the village. It was equipped with everything we needed, together with a good selection of books and games. There is a large pool which was much appreciated in the hot weather, as was the air conditioning. Ian and Lesley were excellent hosts, they were easily contactable and responded to any queries promptly. All in all a very good experience. Lesley S

Summary: The holiday property was exactly as described and perfect for our family get together. The house layout was good, everything we needed was there, beds comfortable with high quality Danish cotton bedding. Shutters and air con made it possible to sleep really well as the temperatures were quite high. The pool was great as well as outdoor facilities. All in all a great holiday, hope to revisit one day.

Summary: The villa is situated on a large secluded plot approached via a private drive and surrounded by similar properties. Internally, the villa has been updated and provides spacious open plan living accommodation. The furnishings throughout are simple but perfectly adequate. The kitchen was well equipped with all modern appliances and had a large range of utensils. During the second week of our stay the air conditioning was essential! Directly outside the living area the covered terrace is ideal for dining. The pool was very inviting but is not heated and was relatively cool during our first week. However, later on during our stay when daytime temperatures reached 40 degrees C it quickly warmed up and was very pleasant. The large gardens surrounding the property are mainly untended. The centre of the village is only a 10 minute stroll away where there are bakers, a butcher, and two a small general stores. These are complemented by two supermarkets just a short drive away. The scenery around the village is beautiful with mountains and vineyards and a good view of the whole area can be seen from taking one of two designated short walks up to a look-out point above the villa. Around Bezeirs there are a number of small interesting towns that are worth a visit and the nearest beach is at Valras-Plage (30 minute drive) which has beach shops and restaurants. We found the canoeing at Roquebrun was great fun and would definitely do that again even though we are a retired couple. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable two week stay and are glad we chose this particular villa for our holiday.

Summary: We just had a wonderful 2 week stay at the villa. We travelled as a couple with a 2 month old baby and had extra guest for some of it. Very accommodating and helpful owners who supplied a great welcome pack. There are 2 bedrooms on one floor and 2 up on the mezzanine with a bathroom on both floors so works well if friends/2 families. Rooms are all good sizes with modern features. There is no baths which didn’t bother us as 2 good quality showers. Very well equipped, owners have thought of everything! Lovely modern kitchen to cook in. Our favourite bits were definetly outside though, gorgeous summer kitchen where can relax in the shade, wonderful pool, comfy enough sun beds. On the edge of the village, can walk in to one restaurant which was ok quality, pizzas from the pizza wagon were great however. 2 big supermarket 5 min drive away and 2 bakeries easy 5/8 min walk away. Surrounding villages lovely. Overall a lovely stay. Thank you
