Wheat cottage is a super cottage situated in the heart of the Sussex countryside. Sympathetically converted from a former grain store into a spacious holiday let, ideal for couples wanting to relax and explore the area. Under floor heating downstairs makes the property warm and cosy on those colder winter days , and a sun room at the front of the property to relax in and a dining area , with a modern open flow into the lounge / kitchen. The bedroom upstairs is large, and has a super king bed that can be divided into to singles if necessary . Two access doors into the bathroom , one from the bedroom and one from the top of the stairs. The bathroom has a shower above the bath , and a heated towel rail too. This property still as the charm and character from its original structure and has combined it into making a very comfortable yet modern interior.
We have a private garden in front of the cottage , fenced. In front of that you have 2 spaces off road on the private driveway for your car.
Very well appointed, with all the standard kitchen appliances, and a washing machine.

Summary: Beautiful cottage, well furnished and fitted out to very high standard. We found it extremely comfortable and could not fault it in any way. The countryside location is attractive and wonderfully peaceful. Good pubs in local villages, close to Eastbourne and coast, with lots to see, do and walk. A great break.

Summary: We found the cottage to be a delight. The Granary conversion had been very well designed and for a couple it could not have been better. It was very clean and well appointed and furnishes. We will be back.

Summary: We had great holidays in Chiddingly. Pub was reachable by public footpath, which was challenging only for a few meters. Cottage really great and spacious for a couple. Katie and Michael responded quickly to all inquiries we had, and kindly sent my forgotten jumpers back to me to Germany. Great service!

Summary: The cottage is homely, clean and peaceful . The owners are available if required and will help if they can. We enjoyed a weeks stay and if you are comfortable with driving in single track roads it is easy to reach lots of destinations. We attended a wedding and would return if we have a need to visit the location again
