3 Bedroom Cabin in Oden

Whispering oaks is a cozy but large and modern 2-story home away from home, located on the Ouachita River and amidst the Ouachita Mountains with hiking/biking/ATV trails. The home has two full baths and will sleep 11 people. Three private bedrooms(king size, two sets of twin over full bunkbeds, queen, and a Bunkie in the hall). The kitchen is fully equipped and linens and towels are provided. Enjoy a large wrap deck, a hot tub under a gazebo, and an inside fireplace with a 50" flat screen tv.

Summary: The house was pretty good. The appliances leave something to be desired. The refrigerator shelf in the door is broken and the middle shelf in the fridge falls. When you buy groceries for 8 people, you need all the room in the fridge. The microwave overheats and shuts down if it runs long, and the can opener (manual) is useless. It needs to be replaced. Also, the upstairs gets a little warm but that’s a two story house and is to be expected. All that said. It was still a GREAT place. The property was beautiful and the house worked well for 8 people. There are no surrounding lights so the nights are spectacular if you like star gazing and the river isn’t too far. If we go back, we would rent it again.
