Boat access cottaging is perhaps the best-kept secret of Georgian Bay Cottaging: There is nothing quite like truly "disconnecting" with regular life by landing at the dock of a cabin out of reach from the intrusions of normal civilization.
Tucked away in the wilderness paradise of Cognashene Lake on Georgian Bay, over 300ft of clear, deep waterfront that also includes a sandy beach with shallow water entry.
Main cottage has 3 bedrooms, a full bathroom, open concept kitchen/living room with all the amenities of home including dishwasher, induction range, oven, microwave, and a very well-equipped kitchen. Washer and dryer. Hot showers. Wood-stove.
Western facing view through large windows with incredible sunsets.
Large grassy lawn in full view of deck. Great bass & pike fishing right off the dock and nearby. This boat access cottage backs onto thousands of acres of hikeable crown land. Clean deepwater swimming off the shore or dock as well as a small sandy beach for the kids. Large outdoor fire-pit. Or go for an evening paddle around to the back inlet to observe the resident beavers.
Gas BBQ with included propane.

TRANSPORATION
This location is water access only -- a breathtaking 20 minute boat ride from Honey Harbour through the rocky islands of Georgian Bay.
But don't worry! Water taxis are readily available and we can assist you in booking them if required.
CLEANING
Due to the remote location of this cottage, we have a leave-it-as-you-found-it cleaning policy. Linens and towels are optionally provided, however they must be washed and returned to the closet upon checkout. There is a cleaning fee hold of $200, which will be refunded after your stay.
If you would like to have a cleaning service, please let us know and we can book one (subject to availability) for a fee of $400.
Pets are welcome, we just ask that you please be respectful of the furniture and keep pets down.

Q. How do I get here?
A. This is a water access cottage, which means there are no roads to get you there. You must bring a boat, or arrange a water taxi to take you there. The closest launching point is Honey Harbour, ON. If you are boating in yourself, we will provide navigational resources to help ensure an easy and safe journey. The boat ride is a highlight in itself, putting the rugged and rocky islands of Georgian Bay on full display.
Q. How much fridge space is there?
A. A lot! The main cottage is equipped with 2 full sized fridges, and the bunkie is equipped with a small mini-fridge.
Q. Is there hot water?
A. Yes
Q. Is the water drinkable?
A. The water system is fed from the lake, and is filtered for sediment before it enters the plumbing system. There is then additional undersink filtration systems fitted to the cold water faucets in both kitchens, which make the cold water safe to drink.
Q. Are their neighbours?
There are other cottages on the lake, however they are generously spaced. Our closest neighbour is about 150ft away.

Summary: We had a good time but the dishwasher needs a door repair the grass needed cutting and a warning f the sewer system would have been helpful. The water pressure was none existence when the dishes were being done along with the dishwasher or the washing machine let alone the shower. Dock showers were our means of cleaning. Sorry about this review but I need to be honest.

Summary: Me and a couple of buddies stayed here for 5 days over the May long weekend to do some kayaking and fishing. This is a great property for famalies and friends. Tons of space to play, relax and unwind. Its sheltered in a bay so the water is calm. The water taxis are pricey if you dont have a boat, but that said it was a beautiful relaxing ride, and way shorter than it looks on google maps so dont be intimidated. Great place!

Summary: We're on the farm so the older kids teased that we need to get some vacation to overcome the post- harvest trauma of the summer. Weather was absolutely gorgeous! Very quiet property. Property is children- friendly with its variety of forest, sand dune and lawn.

Summary: Communication with the owners were on point. They answered all questions and were super friendly. The property itself is beyond words. Absolutely stunning, the layout of the main house is perfect for large groups. The bunk house is like the cherry on top, also beautiful and close to main house. Can't say enough good things about our stay here. Thanks again for sharing you little peice of heaven.

Summary: Beautiful cottage, perfect spot. We had a great time, it was everything we expected and more. Fully equipped with everything needed including games, movies, and lots of water toys to enjoy. Would definitely return next summer. Chad was a great host responding immediately to any questions we had.

Summary: Overall, we had a fantastic stay. The location was as perfect as it gets. The cottage was functional and met all of our needs. The owners were very responsive and pleasant to work with. We really have no complaints. I would absolutely recommend this cottage.

Summary: Being that there were 12 of us (6 adults and 6 kids aged 9 months to 11 y.o.) we all had a blast and many first memories were made here. None of us were on top of one another. There was so much space for everyone to sleep comfortably and hang around the property. Not to mention the endless amount of activities on the property that kept us so busy, that nobody was ever bored, rain or shine! Other than our own personal items and food, everything that we needed to get through the the holiday was already on site, the Tiffin's thought of everything! We were all sad to leave but can't wait to book for next year!

Summary: We had a great time staying at Chad’s cottage! We were a large family group looking to relax and we definitely did :). Location was great though taking a water taxi was an interesting experience. We were lucky to have beautiful weather everyday so we spent our time swimming and fishing off the dock - what more can you ask for? It does get a bit hot in the cottage but we made it work with all the fans! We also had an issue with the water tank which was a bit of an inconvenience but the tank was replaced after our stay so it should no longer be a problem. Thanks again!

Summary: Came up in early June with a party of 6 adults. The accommodations were perfect, with beds for everyone and no one needing to crash in either living room. Kitchen was well equipped and the communication with our host was excellent. Also rented his boat which nicely complemented the two we brought. There are plenty of cabins around, but we saw very little traffic during the week. Fishing was crazy good. Every spot we saw made us think 'perfect location' for Pike and Bass. Spent most of our time outside on the deck, grilling and kibitzing. Two full size fridges adequately stored and cooled our beer and food. Fired up the wood stove one night as the temp dropped into the 40s(F). Washer and dryer made clean up easy. Can't wait to come back!
