Available for the first time for summer of 2022! This recently updated cottage is only 25 minutes north of Grand Rapids. The cottage is steps away from upper lake. This all sports lake is ideal for fishing and swimming. Willow shores offers it all: a large propane grill, free WiFi, 2 TV’s with Hulu and other streaming services, and most importantly a quiet place to unwind and relax by the water. The cottage is 3 bedrooms 1 bath and can sleep 9 (1 queen, 1 full, and 3 twin beds as well as a pull out couch). This property has well water. If you are unaccustomed to hard well water, you may prefer bottled water. We do provide a Britta water filter on site.

Summary: Very clean and stocked lake front property and affordable! There is hard water but owner makes sure that you are well aware of it beforehand. Plan on booking next year if available.

Summary: Every morning and evening ( and midday) we enjoyed being out on the deck, just looking at this small, peaceful lake. Much of the time it looked as still as glass. We kayaked around the entire lake several times, played ladder ball in the yard, walked in the lovely neighborhood, played with the neighbor’s new kitty, and just were together. The beds are comfy-especially the queen and full with their temper-pedic toppers. It was amazingly bug-free. Short drive to town you will find an ice cream shop and laundromat. A few more miles down US 131 will get you to a Meijers. And don’t miss going a few more miles to Rockford for fun restaurants. Or cook your own cuisine on the gas grill on the deck.

Summary: My family (2 adults, 2 kids under 12) really enjoyed the week we spent here. Home is small, but clean and perfect for a family vacation. Star of the show is the small inland lake just a few steps outside the door. All of us really love the 2 kayaks; the lake is small enough that you can kayak around it in 25-35 minutes and pretty quiet overall. I think we heard one jetski during the trip; otherwise just the occasional pontoon boat floating by. There is a very small strip of sand next to shore, but the lake bed itself is silt/mud a few steps from shore. Kids didn't mind at all, but just a note. Fire pit and s'mores were a hit with the kids each night. Scott was a super attentive host; easy in and easy out. We had a little trouble with the A/C whilst there and Scott was extremely quick respond to text and we sorted the issue. Only other note is that water is from a well, so hardness may not be to everyone's liking. We bought bottled to make our coffee. Don't expect the lap of luxury, but a efficient little home next to a generally quiet lake is hard to beat. We look forward to visiting again.

Summary: My wife and our adult kids, plus friends, needed a place to stay north of Grand Rapids for a family holiday weekend. Hard to find a spot for nine adults, but this place was perfect! Location is lovely - super clean and tidy, comfy beds and waterfront is fabulous. Kids fished...a lot. Kayaks were well-used! Scott was a fantastic host - incredibly responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!

Summary: Nice place for our family of 5. 30 min away from great mountain biking. Easy drive to Lake Michigan. Quick drive to Grand Rapids for a concert. Location was perfect for all our needs. Place was clean. Everything worked. No surprises! Awesome that they stocked the fridge with some local brews!! Just what we needed when we arrived!!
