Positive: Location is very convenient for travelers. We just needed a place to stay overnight. It worked well for that. Very clean.
Negative: No coffee maker in room even though there was a microwave and fridge. The kids would have enjoyed a pool.

Positive: I liked ac/heat and definitely enjoyed the shower. The employees were awesome and they were very hospitable.
Negative: Didn't like the scare I had at check-in. Their policy on pets on Booking.com didn't reflect what was in person. Which was "We are Pet Friendly " if you're in person. Cats are a strict hardcore no. They should put in their terms on Booking.com. The shower curtain didn't keep water out.
Summary: The stay was good and the staff were friendly. Seriously, the staff made this place way better.

Positive: I liked that I was able to secure rooms for my family during a freak blizzard in South Alabama. One of the first rooms did not have working heat, but the staff relocated us immediately. It is obvious that renovations are underway here, but it didn't hinder us. Due to the weather and the fact that we could neither proceed to our destination (also part of the historical weather event) nor return to our home (roads closed due to snow and ice) we were grateful that there was a budget hotel right off of the exit, the first exit to be shut down due to this blizzard (Exit 44 in Loxley Alabama). I was able to secure the rooms from the back seat of my van while my husband skillfully maneuvered almost white out conditions. The staff was kind and friendly and respectful and worked to meet our needs. A HUGE plus is the adjacent Waffle House. They kept us fed with hot, fresh food for two days. Even the staff at the Waffle House had lodging at the same hotel due to the conditions. Our family vacation did not go as planned, but we were safe and warm at the Wind Chase Inn for two days at a price that didn't hurt.
Negative: Well, it is encouraging to see there are ongoing renovations. We got quite a chuckle at the flock of toilets in a couple of parking spaces. It was disappointing that the price for the second night was increased from the first night (70.00 the first night and 89.00 the second night, per room). I did appreciate the ten dollar discount after I asked if I could get a better rate by going on Booking.com to make the second nights' reservation instead of presenting in person at the front desk. It was just such a unique situation and I was shocked that they would increase the price like that knowing we had no other options. Also, just as a suggestion, could be a bit more generous with towels and toilet paper and hand soap not broken into pieces. But the short story is that we are very grateful for the facilities and the hosts here under what was a disappointing and frightful experience for folks not used to snow in that location in that volume!!

Positive: The staff being nice to adjust what I was unhappy with
Negative: I didn’t like the room smelling bad, I did not like that when I turned the heat on that it gave a very bad burn smell , the smoke alarm went off so I had to worry about if I could stay warm for the time being,the front desk did come and spray frebreze to try and freshen up the room.my review may seem bad but I like the location, staff and it’s convenient for my reasons to go to loxley.

Positive: I liked that it was extra locks on the door and the night staff greeted me upon arrival.
Negative: I feel that all lights could have worked in the room, I feel that the tub could of been cleaner in color and I woke up to a dead phone bc the outlet beside my bed didn’t work. I do feel that when I requested online to stay in a room close or on top of the office it should have been accommodated rather than me being put where she wanted me and me having to go back inside to ask her to change me from where she put me at due to me traveling alone and for my own safety. The guy there did understand my original request and moved me so I’d feel more safe to stay alone .Its a comfortable stay for a night to pass through but if you’re looking for 5 star book farther out but however the staff was very nice.
Summary: At check out…he was very greeting and friendly and welcomed me back.
