Summary: We had such a wonderful stay! The house is so beautiful and cozy we immediately felt so at home, and the property was stunning, with beautiful fields and sheep and an incredible view all the way to the sea from the hot tub. Was a perfect home base for exploring some of the beaches and trails of the area.

Summary: We are a group of 5 female friends who chose Windyhead to spend a few well earned days to celebrate 2 of our birthdays, one of which was a very special 60th! The cottage totally lived up to our expectations, it was remote, quiet, very clean and we all had our own bedroom. We chose this cottage mainly due to locality (about 2 hours from where each of us lived) but also because of the hot tub and sauna! We were a little dissapointed with the lack of instructions for the use of these two items and the jacuzzi bath in the main bathroom, we all felt a small guest information pack in the cottage would have been a great asset, and a safe guard for the owner to make sure guests were using items correctly. We did report an issue with the sauna door that we noticed on the morning we left, photo’s were sent but until now no feedback has been received 😞 However having said this we all had a brilliant time and would highly recommend this cottage

Summary: Property was as is in the photos, it was spacious and had great facilities. Plenty of wood provided which was required for the fire, hottub and sauna for the 5 nights we stayed which was great as that could have been costly if we ran out in order to keep it all going through the cold Christmas week we were there. There was decorations left for us which was great as it did help it to feel 'Christmassy' away from home. Only thing we should have asked for or arranged was for the fire and heating to be on for an agreed arrival time as the house was cold, but soon heated up once the fire got going. No fault of the owners more just a future thought for anyone arriving in the colder months esp as it's a later check in. However i was in contact with the owner prior to our visit to check on a couple things and on the first couple days we were there we called to ask a couple things and Graeme could not have been more helpful which was great as it's always appreciated!! Would recommend this place to any larger groups for any occasion, I would consider booking again as we really enjoyed our stay and our Christmas away from home.

Summary: Windyheads Cottage is a stunning property that is situated in a picturesque landscape away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Perfect for large families with plenty of space in the house and surrounding outdoor areas along with a well equipped kitchen. Graeme, the host, was extremely attentive and always available for help and advice. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful house. A note of advice: Make sure you visit a shop for essentials before arriving as the nearest supermarket is a good 20mins away by car.
