Relax in a spacious and clean Ranch home in a very quiet neighborhood. All guests and small groups welcome.
You will have access to the entire house and the front and backyard. This includes a well outfitted kitchen and dining area, comfy sofas in the living room around a smart TV, board games, laundry room, a large master bedroom with its own TV and master bath, a driveway for 2 cars and a large backyard with a two-level deck and fire pit!
The 2 car garage is also available for guests. To keep pricing affordable for all reservation sizes, the walk-out Basement with an additional bedroom, bathroom, living room and rec room with a pool table is available at no additional charge for reservations with 6 guests or more. Smaller groups than 6 can request basement access from the host when reserving.
We set this up to be your private home, and we can be available during your stay if you need anything from me or my co-host!
Winnebago is a village 15 minutes outside of Rockford, and right off route 20. This is a quiet neighborhood of home-owners, with well maintained single family homes and lawns.
You are 5 min. from HWY 20, 4 min from downtown Winnebago, and 10-15min from Rockford.
Due to its dangers, the basement wood stove is not a working fireplace. The upstairs fireplace may be used if we have the gas turned on for winter, and the backyard firepit is available. Bring your own firewood if you plan on using the backyard firepit!

Summary: House was great! Plenty of room with a beautiful kitchen. The deck was spacious with plenty of chairs but it could use a little TLC.

Summary: Our family of 5 really enjoyed our time in this home! We spent most of our time on the large deck and loved the fire pit just because it was so pleasant. Late evenings we spent playing board games in the very comfortable living room. The kitchen had everything we needed to make the few meals we wanted to make. Location was so easy to get to hiking, kayaking, and the Burpee museum is great! We all appreciated the cleanliness, the comfort, and the hosts little extra touches and treats to welcome us to their home. Host was very responsive before and during our stay. Summary: This is a roomy, well-stocked home. It had everything we needed, and the host was available to answer any questions within a few minutes. Most importantly, the beds and baths were exceptionally clean.

Summary: We like to have a home base when traveling with my daughter and this house was within a 2 hour drive of LOTS of great places. (There are also great closer attractions like the FLW Laurent House and big Sock Monkeys for those not looking to venture as far!) Clearly the owner's know what it's like to travel and stay in rental houses. There were plenty of suitcase racks, night lights, toilet paper, snacks, coffee, etc. Linda the next door neighbor is the caretaker and she was helpful and wonderful!! Thanks for sharing your house Sam!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at our rental house, even though it was a 25-30 minute drive to our relatives houses in Rockford. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked with kitchen supplies. The owner responded quickly to texts I sent him.

Summary: Sam was really patient and understanding with a lot of my questions. We had never stayed at an bnb and we were not sure what to expect. We had a wonderful visit and enjoyed all the amenities of the house and was very comfortable while staying there. We highly recommend staying here! I cannot recommend it enough.
