Positive: The helpful communications and information. The cottage has everything you need and is in a great peaceful location with pubs, restaurants and shops nearby. The cottage is located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales with lots of hiking trails and beautiful scenery.

Positive: Coziness, living room layout with a wood-burning stove and an adjoining kitchen. Very well equipped facilities (kitchen, bath) and accessories (washer, ironing board, kitchen dishes and washing needs). Quite comfortable mattresses and linens. The owner provided most detailed instructions for every aspect of cottage use and information on locale hiking opportunities.
Negative: Principal déficit was inability to operate the bathroom shower. Cottage is somewhat remote from Settle market town (1.25 miles), restaurants, train station, pubs and walks to and from the cottage at night are challenging.
