Summary: My sisters and I have been having a reunion every year for the past 8 yrs to reconnect since our mom's passing. We found the home to be cozy and very well equipped for our indoor and outdoor cooking adventures. We loved the back deck and spent many hours there eating and crafting. The Viroqua farmers market and shops were wonderful to explore as well. We had a small issue one day with the front lock and Susan responded instantly and solved the problem. We are already talking about coming again as we enjoyed it so much and one of the sisters had to cancel at the last minute due to illness. Thank you Susan for sharing this home.

Summary: We had a nice stay with our family. The house is large set among beautiful cornfields. The house was very clean but all of us were bitten by it looks like spiders. We mainly stayed inside the house because we had a young baby. Also one of our family member has some mobility issue and there is no bedroom on the ground floor.

Summary: When we arrived (on a very hot day), it was 84 degree in the house. I tried to adjust the temperature but couldn’t, so I messaged our host who responded very timely and said that the AC was set to turn on before we arrived but she hadn’t anticipated the extra heat outside, so it would take awhile for the house to cool. The listing said there was a hot tub, so I inquired about the location of that since we couldn’t find it. The host said there had never been a hot tub and that I must be looking at the wrong listing. I sent a screenshot of the listing, and the host updated me that it was a mistake with no apology. I understood that mistakes happen, but we partially booked this place for the hot tub. We couldn’t actually adjust the house’s temperature to lower than 74 degrees. I messaged the host, and they lowered it to my requested temperature, but it was very odd that we couldn’t control the temp. Several hours went by, and the house had only cooled to 78 degrees. I messaged our host asking if they knew how long it normally takes for the whole house to cool (I had a 3 month old with). The host responded that the AC was working hs, 78 wasn’t unbearable, and anyone who wanted it cooler to sleep in the basement (where 1 bedroom was). No apology. Finally, we were out of the house around 9:55 AM (time to leave was 10) and were in the driveway giving hugs and goodbyes. The host called me at 10:02 saying the cleaner was waiyimg and we were supposed to be out by 10. Not ideal.

Summary: On the surface, the property is incredible: great furniture, beautiful deck and appliances. Issues we had: floors were dirty, pans and utensils had food on them, and unsafe looking wiring (china hutch in dining room and wire sticking out of the wall in the basement. basement.)

Summary: Beautiful rural property with expansive deck, furniture, outdoor kitchen. Only one upstairs queen bed a one lower level, but full beds were adequate. Immaculate condition, much more space than needed. We didn’t really use the large family room in the lower level at all. Convenient to Viroqua (about seven minutes), the golf course, and many miles of excellent trout fishing. Really a pleasant surprise to find such a gem. We will definitely return.

Summary: A few things that we appreciated: The property was clean. There Kitchen was appointed adequately. The deck and porch space was nice and it had an overhang to stay out of the sun and rain. The property and space were very peaceful.
