Positive: Very comfortable and cozy bedroom. Loved the outdoor seating area with the heaters. We ate in the Wotton Hatch and the food was delicious.
Negative: On arrival we were told the heating for the pool was broken so the pool was too cold to swim and the jacuzzi was closed. Breakfast was expensive for what was available.

Positive: Good breakfast. We were a little late but they still managed to get us a full English breakfast plate. Friendly staff that made the best effort to give us a good experience.
Negative: They did forget to bring the coffee twice. And we were the only ones there so shouldn´t have been too hard to arrange.
Summary: I have stayed at Wotton House three times now and it is a fantastic country side retreat.

Positive: Room was good, changed on request. I made a mistake while booking, got cot bed in room instead of extra bed for my 7 yo, but changed with no problems. Staff is great, very polite, helping with smile. Restaurant staff, also very easy going and helpful. Location is great, lovely seating area outside - summer here must be really pleasant.
Negative: We went for a weekend - my wife's birthday - planning to stay whole Saturday afternoon at the pool, jacuzzi and sauna - It's the middle of winter after all. Hotel did not contact me about the ongoing issues they have with heating the pool area(it didn't work for a week or so, apparently) - we were not able to use it - water was freezing cold - not suitable for swimming, jacuzzi out of order - very, very disappointing. I would obviously cancel my booking if I knew that. Breakfast is poor - English breakfast lovers will enjoy - but if you fancy more continental vibe, you won't get it here.
Summary: If all facilities up and running - great place to stay.

Positive: We spent a night at Wotton House hotel for my mum's 86th birthday. The staff were exceptional. The house felt really cosy and Christmassy and the outside terrace was a nice place to chat and relax with heaters and blankets. The rooms were clean and spacious. We also enjoyed time in the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Overall a comfortable and welcoming stay and would definitely return.
Negative: Perhaps more meal choice in the resaurant, limited menu in the bar area but the beef burgers were delicious
