1 Bedroom Apartment in Island Park

We are taking reservations for the 2026 season starting May 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026. We prefer Covid vaccinated guests for our protection and our guests protection.
We provide a beautiful suite in our cabin overlooking Henry's Lake off US 87 in Island Park Idaho. Our cabin is 15 minutes away from West Yellowstone by car and is located 3.5 miles from the US 87/US 20 junction. Easy access to Yellowstone National Park. Excellent fishing, boating and water activities as well as hiking etc. Views of Henry's lake and mountains from our cabin. There is access to the lake down the road from the cabin and boat rentals available nearby. Opportunities to view elk, deer, moose, bears, and other wildlife on the mountainside behind the cabin. We are renting the first floor of our three level house. We prefer Covid Vaccinations for our safety and the safety of our guests.The bedroom in the suite has a queen bed We sleep 2 in the suite. There is a microwave, toaster, coffee pot with coffee, a refrigerator and freezer with ice. There is also a dining room table and chairs, a sofa, and two recliners. We have dishes, silverware, paper plates, and most anything else you may need. There is a wrap around deck with a covered patio and barbecue which is accessible to guests. A washer and dryer in the suite is shared with the owners. HD Television. Covered guest parking. Come stay with us and enjoy the views and Yellowstone National Park. WIFI is available for our guests. We also have Bear spray available to borrow.

Summary: Wonderful location, friendly owners, loved the touch of having fresh chocolate chip cookies. They made us feel welcome immediately. This really is perfect location not far from West Yellowstone Park entry.Even loaned us some bear spray for use in the Park.We'll definitely come back if in Yellowstone again.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! It fit our needs perfectly. We took early morning trips into Yellowstone and came back to the cabin in the evenings and enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake. The owners are wonderful hosts!

Summary: My family of 4 traveled from SC to the west to see Idaho and visit Yellowstone. We happened upon this absolute gem of a place to stay.This was absolutely the most comfortable, hospitable place in Island Park. The hosts were gracious and welcoming. And the view from the rental was AMAZING!

Summary: We had a very pleasant stay in a beautiful cabin located very close to the western entrance of Yellowstone. The owners are very welcoming and family oriented. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Charmingly decorated, first floor of a beautiful 3 story log cabin. Mountain/lake view out front window is beautiful! We were welcomed with homemade cookies. Kathy and Harry had everything you would need for a comfortable stay, extra pillows, blankets, a fan, cooler, binoculars, bear spray…too much to list. Bed was super comfy as were two chairs in front room. There is a microwave and full refrigerator, but no sink for dishes or stove which we were fine with for our short stay. TV had so many different choices from Amazon, Hulu, Netflix, etc. It is a half hour from the West Yellowstone entrance and there is a nice restaurant close by called Connie’s which was quaint with good food. Wonderful stay. We would stay again if in the area.

Summary: The Wards were wonderful hosts. The basement./lower level 1BR apartment was well appointed and stocked. It is about 20 miles from the Yellowstone West entrance. The only thing is lack of a oven/ stove. Everything else you need is there. I had several very pleasant conversations with them during our stay. Parking is right outside the door under cover. Bear spray provided. You dont have to buy it and leave it for you cannot fly with it in checked luggage. We did not see any grizzlies in the vicinity of the house but you can be certain they are around. I would recommend this property without reservation as a great way to see this area and alternative to staying in the park

Summary: This is a great home to stay in if you want to get out of town to a peaceful spot. The hosts thought of everything you need. They greeted us and were there if we needed anything. The view out the front window was wonderful.

Summary: Kathy and Harry were exceptional hosts! The place is as described, in the basement of their home, with a private covered parking and entrance. Kathy was there to give us the code and explain all the ins and outs and left us with some of her homemade cookies.! Although it does not have a kitchen (no sink) it does have a full fridge/freezer, toaster, and microwave. She has coffee/tea (bring creamer and sugar) and all the plates, utensils etc you could need. Kathy comes in and does your dishes upstairs each day. The view of the lake and mountains is spectacular! Harry is a delight and you can tell loves taking care of his beautiful home. We would stay here again when in the area.
