Welcome to “Yippee Lane”, a 60 acre, peaceful oasis in Washburn, IL with 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, and a private stocked pond. This is the perfect place for a short term rental or weekend getaway & you’re guaranteed to find relaxation and beauty within every season! Custom built in 2020-everything is brand new & every item was hand selected to create a “modern woodsy” feel. It comfortably sleeps 6 w/ 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, & a twin over twin bunk bed. The kitchen is equipped with items to help you cook any meal that you can think of & there’s also a grill available to use under the covered patio that overlooks the water. Sorry, there’s no wifi!! This is an off the grid type of getaway where we encourage you to put your phone down & focus on life’s sweetest moments! There is a smart TV & with the right cell carrier you may be able to connect. If not, there are plenty of DVDs, puzzles & board games to keep you busy-the good old fashioned way! Speaking of old fashion, there’s cocktail glasses & even a whiskey smoker that you’ll find on the bar cart.
You’re also invited to cast a line to catch a big bass, paddle around the pond, or go for a nature walk on one of the many hiking trails. Other amenities include, outdoor patio furniture, toys, on-site laundry, guest towels & linens, air fryer, toaster, crockpot, & basic necessities such as hair dryer, laundry soap, spices, etc. Don’t forget to support the small town scene by dining at one of the local restaurants-Stringtown BBQ & Sicily’s Pizza definitely won’t disappoint! Grant Memorial park is nearby & it’s a phenomenal place w/ two playgrounds & a pickle ball court. The historical town of Lacon, IL is just a quick cruise away if you want to dine, shop, or have a day of boating on the Illinois River!
We can’t wait to host you-YIPPEE!!!!! **There is one external camera that faces the driveway that is utilized for delivery drivers, lawn care, etc. Owner provides enough basic items like shampoo/conditioner, body wash, laundry soap, toilet paper, paper towels…etc for up to one week, longer stays may need to provide some of these items if replenishing is needed.

Summary: We have had a great time staying at the house. The property and location are amazing, the house is awesome (nice, lots of sunlight, and big open space), nicely decorated. The owner responded very quickly, but really we did not had any problems, just questions. We did spent quality time outside at the back lawn, pond, front porch, especially after long days at the track and field state tournament. The teens loved it as we did too. We will be coming back. Thank you to Brandy and Drew.

Summary: Went here for a long weekend with the family, and immediately from the turn in we could tell this place was going to be special. The inside of the house was beautifully decorated and very clean. it was stocked with anything you could need, which came in handy as we spent most of our time and had most of our meals there. The real gem is the property itself though. It exceeded all expectations. Spent a lot of time fishing in the pond and even more hiking the many trails we found around the property. It was the perfect place to get away and spend some time outdoors. We were all sad to leave, but hopefully we’ll make our way back here in the future.

Summary: A real gem of a property - the pictures don’t do it justice. Surrounded by a wooded area and brush, it really does offer seclusion and wide open space. If you’re up for it, you can really enjoy the property on foot. Also, super cute living space, well-appointed with very modern but warm decor. Comfy furniture and a great kitchen for cooking, supplemented by outdoor grill. Rocking chairs? Sign me up! Thanks again!

Summary: Arriving late at night the interior was first impression, "GREAT!!". Owners left great notes and instructions, beds are comfy and layout if great for family time. Space in the garage for recreations was a nice surprise. THE VIEW! the next morning and walks are phenomenal!!! Great place to spend time between other family events in the area. Will consider future bookings to enjoy this place in every season!!
