Summary: The cottage and gardens are lovely:you can relax in the quiet garden. The unexpected thing we enjoyed was the church bells, which were not overpowering.Shops, bars and restaurants are within walking distance. Being on the older side we did encounter some difficulty with the steps and stairs within the cottage and in the garden.Beaches etc were only a short drive away

Summary: Owners were on site and super helpful and friendly. Fabulous house with own private entrance and garden area. Clean and well appointed and very roomy. Perfect location in the heart of the village. Lots to do nearby-our son loved the water sports on the coast especially. The best place we have stayed in France.

Summary: Old style atmospheric property with a warm welcome from Phillip and Helene. Well equipped kitchen area with everything you could wish for to cook your meals with the produce from the local markets. Comfortable beds and good bathroom.10 mins to fabulous beaches. 2 bakers , a bar, small supermarket and good butcher in village.

Summary: Lovely old house full of character in an enormous garden. Hosts very welcoming. Town of Angles isn’t the most scenic but it is a good base for exploring the area. Outstanding restaurant Racine is right next to property: book in advance!

Summary: From the moment Phillipe welcomed us with freshly plucked apricots from the wonderful garden, we knew this was goong to be a great stay. The village has all you need (boulangeries, restaurants, a bar) within in two minutes walk and a decent supermarket five minutes in the car. The choice of gentle or vigorous seas, with golden sand, are just 15 minutes away by car. La Rochelle is an hour away by car and well worth a day trip. At night the peace is wonderful and with no nightlights the milky way is fantastic to gaze it. The only slight downside is the bell of the local church bell ringing at 8 in the morning. But coffee in the garden shared with the birds and fresh croissants makes up for it.

Summary: We loved staying in the beautiful abbey of friendly hosts Philippe and Hélène. The house embrasses you and the garden is a peaceful haven. Angles is a little village but vibrant and alive. The coast is crowded in summer, but ask Hélène and Philippe for the quit spots and you will enjoy an endless beach and beautiful waves! We loved it!

Summary: We had a wonderful 2 weeks’ vacation in this very nice and special place. Helene and Philippe welcomed us warmly, though we arrived very late. The appartment was fully equipped and spacious, very clean and cosy. The very big and lush garden offers many different places to relax and play (our two children) and has a private door with access to the alleys and the market of Angles. Helene and Philippe are really very friendly and give recommendations or help when needed. Definitely a place to come back to!

Summary: We have just had 2 wonderful weeks at this place. The photos don't show just how roomy this apartment really is. It suited our needs perfectly to explore this gorgeous area of France. With 2 boys ages 12 & 15 the short drive to the surf beach of Les Conches was something we did most days but we also ventured to La Rochelle and went wine tasting at a vine yard recommended by Philippe. We used Manu surf school at Les Conches for a lesson & subsequently hired boards from them, they were more than helpful & all spoke English. The instructors were excellent & the boards were all good quality. Something you don't always get in Cornwall! Helene & Philippe who live in the main bit of the property were away for a lot of our stay but their son was around when we needed help or advice. We used the hot tub which was heavenly but it is located in the owner's bit of the garden so only fair to ask them when is it ok to use. We didn't realise we should have asked for the bedding & the towels to be put in the property before we arrived so if you do want to take advantage of that offer just let them know as they had assumed we had brought our own. It wasn't a problem though & was delivered to us when I asked for it. The Wifi speed is excellent so unfortunately our boys did spend too much time glued to their phones but we just had to turn it off downstairs & they miraculously came running. The grounds are beautiful and the ping pong table is at the bottom of the apartment's garden. Thank you Helene & Philippe, we will return!

Summary: Fantastic 2-bed annex of former abbey in large walled garden. Owner is delightful, speaks English, their house is adjacent, and shares part of grounds. Very private, loads of character to rooms, everything you need on holiday. Village centre is virtually next door. Market twice a week, 2 x boulangerie and small shop (open Sunday mornings) all within a few steps. Short drive to beaches and activities for children. Very happy we booked here.
