Welcome to your very own private lakefront retreat in scenic Dudley MA, close to major highways (90 Mass Pike & 395) with the feel of a Maine / Vermont retreat. Pierpoint Pond is fully recreational with easy going neighbors and a laid back “Laketime” atmosphere. Cute New England towns such as Sturbridge are very close along with modern shopping centers and local eateries.
The 50+ feet of shoreline with sandy beach make it perfect for swimming and playing on the water. The back yard is mostly flat with soft grass a picnic table, 2 grills (Charbroil gas and charcoal), fire pit, plenty of seating options (over 10 chairs, chaise lounge, antigravity chair careful - it will put you to sleep), small sand beach for easy access and making sand castles, dock for fishing (~5-6 feet off the end), floats for lounging, all sorts of toys / squirt guns. For a small additional fee we can rent you kids Kayaks, paddle board, stand up paddle board, canoe, and a bouncy house. For powerboat enthusiasts we also have that to rent.
We have been remodeling the cottage since purchasing it and we designed it to maximize space, comfort and time together as a family.
We went for an open concept so you can be in the kitchen but still be connected to the family in the living room, dining room, front porch and even see what is going on outside. The kitchen features a dishwasher, microwave, small stove, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, large refrigerator with freezer, all the basic silverware, utensils, pots/pans and plenty of counter space. We leave some basic supplies for our guests to use including some condiments, olive oil, spices salt/pepper and dry food. We prescribe to the community mentality here and encourage our guests to share or replace any food they use up.
The living room has a super comfy leather couch (please be careful with it / no eating on it), recliner, working fireplace, 65 inch OLED tv with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus (perfect for family movie night), Bluetooth speaker, Amazon Alexa with Amazon music (just say what you want to listen to song, artist or genre and she plays it - connects to Bluetooth speaker for surround sound), LED lights, Washing machine for dirty clothes, new small bathroom, cordless Dyson vacuum and a table for indoor eating.
The front porch is screened in and features panoramic views of the lake, a desk to work from, dinning table with 4 chairs (we eat most of our meals here), couch, coffee table (for wine / apps of course!) and two chairs for hanging out at night and taking in the views - plus outdoor cafe string lights, fan and small art/craft table for the little ones.
It has 3 bedrooms, with new beds that are on the smaller side but certainly comfortable. The master features a king size bed, AC and flat screen tv with Apple TV (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus). The second bedroom is larger and has a Full size bed which can sleep 2. The 3rd bedroom has a twin bed with a trundle bed for sleeping 2. The upstairs bathroom has been remodels and features a new Marble tile shower.
In the winter there is ice fishing, skating a working fireplace and outdoor fire pit. For cooking we have an outdoor grill.

Summary: The location on the lake was perfect. I loved the back deck, the screened in porch, the large grassy yard, the fire pit, the sandy entrance to get into the lake and more. The area was very quiet and relaxing.

Summary: This was our 4th year staying at this property. We loved the improvements (new appliances, new 2 level deck, water trampoline). We had a relaxing time as always. Lots of time swimming, boating, and fishing. We always look forward to our week at the lake house and this year exceeded expectations. The beach was clean and the water was perfect.

Summary: Great spot to bring the kids for some time on the water - they loved the dock, watching boats go by, feeding the fish and swimming around. The screened in porch was our preferred spot to eat and hang out after a day of swimming. Living room is pretty big - plenty comfortable. The kids (7 and 5) loved their rooms. Host was responsive and welcoming. Great vacation away!

Summary: Pierpoint Pond is a crystal clear beautiful gem. Small beach was wonderful for our grandchildren. The fishing is catch and release but my husband happily caught many fish from the dock and on the water. Everyone enjoyed the blue mat raft and the children’s kayaks but many of the other flotation devices were broken or dirty. The yard and water are shaded most of the day. The stairs to the back yard need to be replaced. The picnic table is extremely weathered. Each house you rent is an adjustment, but the living space, kitchen and porch were all very good. Master bedroom is extremely small with a king size bed. The room with the trundle bed also extremely small. The furniture in the room did not allow the trundle bed to be pulled all the way out. The third bedroom was good. We had a wonderful week The owner is nice. A book for the house and the area would be good and a contact phone number.

Summary: This was our 3rd year renting here, and we plan to visit again next summer. The house is fully stocked with linens, kitchen items, etc. Just show up and enjoy. The beach is clean and the fish are plentiful. We had a great time fishing, swimming, boating, and most of all relaxing. Brian is a great host. He is always quick to respond to any questions. We look forward to returning next summer!

Summary: We stayed here for a second time and will be returning again next year. My kids love swimming from the private beach. They woke up every morning and fed fish from the dock. They has a blast catching frogs, crayfish, and bluegill. There is good fishing from the dock too. We caught lots of bass and catfish. The house has everything you need to just show up and relax.

Summary: We enjoyed the water a lot, the kayaking was amazing. The porch was nice with lots of windows. We had a nice fireworks display from the neighbors on the 4th. Brian was great with communication throughout our stay, and promptly contacted us when there was a power outage and even offered us the opportunity to rent another night if it was available.
