Lost Island hunt club and Lodge is located on a secluded, wooded island, on 200+ private acres near Linwood Ne overlooking the beautiful Platte River, a 1 hr drive (Approximately 60 miles) from Omaha or Lincoln. Lost Island lodge and the attached bunkhouse are used as our waterfowl hunting lodge during fall and winter with the facilities being perfect for summertime weekend gatherings, or week-long vacations for larger groups and families. Swimming, canoeing & kayaking, fishing, wading and exploring the river and it's sandbars, or just relaxing and sunbathing are all popular pastimes. Enjoy the peaceful lodge and bunkhouse with fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV, air conditioning, wood burning stove, loft, great room, sunroom, covered deck, and spacious patio, all with captivating, panoramic views of the river. Take nature walks, bring your bike, or hike our trails. Our family, guests, and customers have enjoyed the island for years and always look forward to their next visit. We're confident yours will too. **Covid 19 protocol in effect. We'll be limiting group size this summer, 1 group per week, min. 3 night stay, with at least 48 hours between groups. The entire property will be professionally cleaned and sterilized (sterile solution and intense UV lighting) weekly, as well as all matress covers laundered.
Additional information.: We do not have a telephone or WIFI. Cell phone reception is good, as are wireless internet devices for your laptop. Bedding, linens, bath towells, and beach towells are travelers responsibility.
Boat ramp available. Family reunions, business retreats, and group hunts, all work well. No ATV's or Golf Carts please. Bird watching and wildlife viewing opportunities abbound.

Summary: This was the 4th year in a row that our company has held an offsite team building retreat at Lost Island Lodge. The lodge fits our needs perfectly! There is plenty of space for sit down meetings for large groups inside the lodge itself. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal. There are enough sleeping spaces and restrooms between the lodge and the bunkhouse that everyone has their own corner. The location is remote and secluded and really fosters a sense of family. The outdoor space is great for playing games, relaxing and grilling and getting in touch with nature--something very welcome for our group of city dwellers! Can't say enough nice things about our experience here. The owner is super easy to work with and makes sure you have everything you need. I'd encourage your large group to take advantage of all Lost Island Lodge has to offer--you won't regret it!

Summary: We were only a small family group of 4 women and 2 dogs, but the lodge was perfect for our Nebraska trip. We so enjoyed the swimming and wading in the Platte's warm waters and walking for miles on the sandy islands in the middle of the river. We never saw other houses or footprints and felt like it was our own private world. It was lovely to just walk out a few steps across the lovely lawn and step right into the water. We even found a deeper area in this shallow river so we could take the tubes that we found at the lodge and tube for short distances down the river. We enjoyed grilling as well with the marvelous cottonwood stacked by the huge grill area. The weather was perfect and we sat around outside nights as well enjoying the fireflies and stars. My dogs could enjoy wandering around as the property is far from cars and road and other hazards. They loved the long river walks on the hard sandy river bottom. The lodge was very comfortable and had everything you'd need for cooking and relaxing. it was a magical time. We had wanted to explore the area but instead found it more fun to just stay at the lodge enjoying the lovely place. Kyle was so friendly and easy to work with. Thanks for sharing your lovely lodge!

Summary: We had 21 people in our group - 12 adults and 9 kids ranging in age from 8 down to 14 months. Kyle keeps this place very clean and family friendly. There was plenty of room for our families to spread out and have sleeping room for all the kids. It's absolutely beautiful with the Platte River right outside the door. We all enjoyed walking across the river which was safe and yet adventurous for all the kids. Loved grilling cottonwood chicken and steaks - great to have a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of seating space for all. We couldn't have been happier with this place - will definitely be back. Thanks Kyle!

Summary: My very large family of thirty people aged 20 months to 78 years loved this property! It is very clean and organized. We used the kitchen every meal for every day to feed all of us. The layout of the buildings flowed well . We had plenty of space to move around, play card games, puzzles and just check out the news on TV. This is the perfect spot for all of us to reconnect with each other. Kyle,the owner, is a very helpful and gracious man. He showed us how to make his father's "cottonwood chicken". It is a must make meal ! I wish I had some right now! We all agreed that this destination must be revisited in our near future! Summary: Our family reunion of 19 people all loved Lost Island Lodge. We were together under one roof, but had lots of places to be alone, or with smaller groups. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to serve meals and we had more than enough room at the tables. The firepit worked great and Kyle explained how it worked to our chief cook. In fact, he met us when we arrived and answered all our questions. We were the first group to use the new patio and on the last evening we just hung out and made s'mores and chatted one last time. We had a thunderstorm that afternoon, with a downpour and even hail, and Mother Nature gave us a rainbow to enjoy. The temps cooled down and the new patio kept us out of the puddles with a place to be outside, but without wet feet. Thanks, Kyle.

Summary: We stayed at Lost Island Lodge for my wife's 30th birthday getaway. Kyle met us out there to go over all it had to offer and answer any questions we might have. We were immediately impressed with the cleanliness and amenities offered here. Everything was very organized with all the comforts of home. The first night we had several families and the children ranged from 1-9, they had a blast making s'mores, skipping rocks, and even tried horseshoes. The second night (no kids) smoked meat, played horseshoes, got a fire going, a poker game and a cigar for the guys. All in all a relaxing weekend, one that came to an end far too quick! Can't wait to do it again! Thanks for a great time Kyle!

Summary: We had my wifes family reuinion at Lost Island a couple weeks ago. Everyone had a great time and wanted to book it for next year again. First rate place with all the comforts of home.Very relaxing and plenty of space for the kids to roam and explore. Thanks agai Kyle for a great time

Summary: We just had a wonderful, relaxing week at the Lost Island Lodge. It is spacious and very comfortable. Our family of 19 had no problems spreading out in the place; during meals, when relaxing indoors out of the heat and with sleeping in all those bedrooms! And the lodge looked fantastic, with beautiful woodwork and interesting items everywhere. There were plenty of bathrooms, a fabulous kitchen; everything stocked with necessities and very clean. Coupled with a location on wooded acres with the Platte River at your doorstep, there was nothing more to ask for. We had a spectacular vacation and enjoyed the Lost Island Lodge immensely. We definitely will be looking to coming back.
