Villa Bon Bida is right on the Curaçao's Spanish Water bay with a private pier, deck and pergola with breathtaking views of Curaçao's famous Tafelberg. It's an isolated spot for rest and relaxation - your own private slice of paradise! You will love the fresh breezes off the water, relaxing in the hammocks with a good book and enjoying a coffee at sunrise, or your favorite drink at sunset or under the stars on the deck at night.
After leisurely waking up, you can enjoy the morning breeze while having breakfast on the deck under the pergola or in our cozy breakfast nook. If you are up early enough, you can catch the amazing sunrise with a coffee sitting on the pier or in the hammock under the pergola. Afterwards, you can catch up on your reading while relaxing in one of our hammocks. If you want to be more adventurous, you can take a car to experience the many attractions Curaçao has to offer. Be sure to get back to the house in time to pour your favorite drink and capture the magical transition the views take at sunset.
Can you picture yourself here? We can accommodate you! The house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and can sleep a total of 6 people. This is our private beach house that we are sharing with guests when we are not there, so we only provide what we would want for ourselves!
We ask for a minimum of 5 nights, with discounts for weekly and monthly rentals.
If you rent our car, we will pick you up at the airport and tell you about the "must see" spots on the island! If you don't rent our car, we do recommend that you rent a car from an agency to get around if you would like to leave the house to replenish supplies or even just to see the local area because there is nothing within walking distance of the house and no mass transportation close by.
To give you an idea of distances, the closest grocery store is around 5-10 minutes away by car. The Jan Thiel beach area, which has four restaurants, from casual to upscale, as well as beach bars and shopping, is around 5-10 minutes away by car. The downtown "Punda" area, where the historic "handelskade" is located, is around a 15 minute drive from the house. You will find shopping, restaurants, bars and the cinemas there as well. If you are into golf, check out Old Quarry, which is around 15 minutes away in the other direction. So, you are basically within a 10 to 15 minute drive of most everywhere you'd like to go!
If you want to check out the other side of the island, called "banda abou" (literally meaning "other side"), it will take you around 30-45 minutes, depending on how far you want to go.

Summary: The property is so beautiful. Relaxing location. Great views and wonderful breezes. You feel like it’s your own private oasis. Close to wonderful beaches and town, you can enjoy everything and then go back and sit on the lanai and watch the sunset. Well stocked kitchen.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay in Curacao. Heather, the host, was extremely accommodating and fantastic with communication. She looked into things were we interested in before we even arrived! The house was perfect with a beautiful breeze which was very helpful as it gets hot and is pretty humid. The location was perfect! We enjoyed watching boats go in and out each day. It was a perfect stay for us!

Summary: What a beautiful, private, waterfront property! You could jump into the water right from the dock and float for hours. Heather was great to coordinate with. The property has a private gate and security system so we felt very safe. This had everything we were looking for.

Summary: This house is exactly what we were hoping for! So much so- we told the owner of they ever wanted to sell to let us know. The outdoor space is amazing. Several distinct areas to relax- back patio (with huge wood table), down on the dock, or out on the deck. A constant breeze keeps it comfortable on hot days. Loved keeping the sliders open all day for that fresh breeze when we were inside. Used the AC at night, but that's it. Beautiful views - TV never turned on, not a single book read- as in downtime I just wanted to relax and enjoy the setting.

Summary: House was lovely and perfect size and set up for a small family stay. Location good if you are planning to spend your time near Jan Thiel otherwise quite far for the best beaches and diving up north (one hour drive). Probably not ideal for families with young kids as many potential hazards including a high deck and single pane large glass all around that my son ran through on his first night.

Summary: We had an amazing stay!! The house was located near all of the places that we wanted to visit. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the house being located on the water. (Wife) My favorite thing was laying in the hammock everyday. (Husband) Fishing We'll be staying here again when we return to Curacao.

Summary: Peaceful Area, Amazing Breeze, Attentive Host - FABULOUS! The property is new with great attention to detail. The sliding glass doors open several ways to give an amazing breeze. There is plenty of outside space which is private and peaceful. Heather is very responsive and helps with extra island tips. This is a well deserved five star property.
