The snowfields of Perisher or Thredbo are an easy 25-35 min drive by car or the bus stop is just around the corner.

Summary: I was on a driving holiday and visiting Jindabyne for the first time hoping to get in a few beginner walks. The property was located in a wonderful location walking distance to the lake which has a couple options for walking. The property had excellent features with everything you need after exploring the surrounding townships. Was able to relax after long days. Definitely a property set up for both Summer and Winter holidays. You can drive to Thredbo and take the chairlift (at a cost) to take 4 - 6 hrs the Mount Kosciuszko Summit walk noting you need to be prepared for various conditions. I hope to get back in Spring when it was not so hot on the days I visited. I was interested in the Snowy Mountain Scheme which was well covered by the museum at Adaminaby.

Summary: Had a nice stay. The kitchen and bathroom could do with an update and cooking pots needed a good scrub with steel wool before we used them. They had food stains but cleaned up fine. Was a very quiet place to stay. Beds were comfortable. 1min walk to the lake to throw a line in was nice In a nice place to stay

Summary: Thanks Liz for a cosy and peaceful stay at Yowie Lodge! The place was perfect for a two night stay and day trip out to Mount Kosciuszko, and close enough for a leisurely walk into town for pub meals and a walk by the lake. Happy new year!
