Positive: Comfortable and pleasant hotel with excellent onsen. We had half board and the food at both breakfast and dinner was outstanding. Warm and pleasant lounge area with log fire. Well located for the nearby cable car (2 mins from hotel). OlderJapanese style rooms but large and comfortable. Half board recommended as few options around and standard is high. Definitely use the onsen. Helpful nearby Visitor Centre gives advice on walks and other activities. Parking right at Hotel door.

Negative: Nothing.

Positive: Buffet. Entertainment area on 2F - arcade and karaoke booths. Free massage chairs on 5F.

Negative: Cobwebs in the room. 1F spa (39 deg pool) was dirty. Entertainment area on 2F closed too early (10pm).

Positive: It was an excellent experience. The staff were very nice, and the lobby had a cozy fire pit guests could sit around. There were free appetizers and drinks from check-in. This included little fish and meat cups, an on-the-spot pancake machine, and gelato. The dinner and breakfast buffet were also delicious with wide variety. The dinner had ample crab legs and sushi, and the use of a soft serve machine. The bath facilities were clean and hot, and the outdoor bath had a beautiful view of the autumn mountain side.
